I already have a sight pusher from years ago, but it doesn't work on the 43X/48, so I had to get a new one.  This unit comes with both adapters to work with the 17, 19, 34, etc., and the slim line slides.

Has anyone milled a G21 here??? I just got a RMR and don’t k ow if I need a sealing plate. Or what type of plates to get.
I’ve never owned a red dot.

I don't have any experience with the larger caliber Glocks and RMRs, but my understanding is that the RMR doesn't hang over at the edges of the wider slide, so the plate isn't necessary. For what it's worth, Maple Leaf Firearms' custom milling pages state this next to the option to add an RMR sealing plate to your order: "Add RMR Sealing Plate +$12 (Recommended for all LED Trijicon RMRs) - Not required for wide slide models G20/G21/G29/G30"

Link to our FAQ page re: sealing pate: RMR Sealing plate

Wider slides don't need it if it also supports the full length of the RMR, but it depends on who at Trijicon you talk to.  Some may interpret the plate to slide screw holes as a through hole feature, some don't think it matters, the screw holes are not gaping holes, they're populated with plate to slide mounting screws and thread locker.

In LE, competition and EDC use, I think the highest round count on a single Glock with OPF-G, RMR is close to, or more than 100,000 rounds, a sealing plate has never been necessary.  Officers wading into pools, rivers, from air conditioned cars to humid weather, etc., this has been confirmed by LE armorers that have been using the plate for 1.5 years (since its introduction).

That said, our stance is the same as that of Trijicon's, if you want to use it, you can use it without issues.  LAPD mandates a sealing plate for RMR, other agencies will vary.  The plate is very thin and doesn't affect thread engagement, the sight to plate screws meet minimum thread engagement with the plate installed.  In any case, thread engagement is a misplaced focus that does nothing to improve a single area on a plate.

Science and math, not conjecture.  On thread engagement

Mods, if links are not cool I will remove them

Can we poors have a Burris Fastfire plate?

Only RMR, RMRcc, DPP and ACRO for now, we don't aim to make plates for every handgun that can accept one, nor for every red dot.  OPF line is one category of products for us, we're heavily in AR15/M16 components development, so we have to focus on well vetted platforms and optics and these usually are LE and MIL guns.

Here's a question.

What tool or widget are you using to adjust the RMR for windage and elevation. Most of my screwdrivers don't work. I did have some success with a dime, but I'm looking for a better solution.

TIA

I get these from LGS as freebies ever so often.  I'm sure ACE Hardware has it.  They also work well with Ruger/Smith revolvers/semiautomatic adjustable sights.

Brass on the ground is another option if you don't have the right tools or are not prepared/have the right equipment.

It's luck of the draw, given the +/- 0.005 tolerance.  It's not an issue, even if you have use a mallet to pound the RMR (don't do it on an SRO) to seat, but some understandably hesitate to do it on a $500 optic.

This post inspired me to take a mallet to a FDE RMR Type 2.

And it worked!

I have found no better solution. I reckon a small tool could easily be made from plastic or metal, but a dime works. It would be cool if Trijicon made a little tool like the red thingy Aimpoint sends with their sights.

We're on it

We started to make dedicated AR tools from years ago, an RMR/SRO sight adjustment tool is easy enough.  We're huge Trijicon fans and a developer, we enjoy a healthy working relationship with Trijicon, they'll be happy to see it too I'm sure.

MOS Glocks comes with a set of 4 plates, you will also need a sealing plate if you use an RMR, as the factor plate doesn't support the full width of the RMR, and leaves areas inside the gasket/rubber ring exposed.

We have GL-527 (0.450 front) in stock now for G43X, our version of it is coming, the prototype of which was sent to coating by mistake so we don't have it to approve yet.

Our Glock magazine floor plates will be out soon, it takes advantage of the cutout on the back of the Glock grip for manually stripping the magazine, we will not be filling that void which serves a purpose

I know I’ve seen it here recently but I can’t find it now.

What is the preferred iron sights to use with this FCD-G plate and RM06? I remember seeing an Ameriglo SKU number.

Duffy, what’s your timeline for getting the serrated rear sight from Amerigo?

Edit, nevermind, I just found it on the previous page.
If I’m reading this right the GL-527 is good for the G48. And the GL-429 is good for the G17/19

6061, polymer would work too but we're not doing that yet.  Aluminum adds a bit of weight to the magazine as well, not a bad thing, just more expensive.

The standard plate is a tiny bit loner than the factory Gen 5 floor plate.

Length: 1.833 (MFP-G, Flared), 1.717 (MFP-G, Standard).  Glock Gen 5 factory magazine floor plate is 1.701 for reference
Width: 1.132.  Glock Gen 3 factory magazine plate is 1.300.

It's barely any wider than the factory floor plate.

Be sure that it works with LE duty magazine pouches with flaps. Some floorplates are so wide you can't snap the flap shut. And yes, some agencies still required flaps on magazine pouches.
