Quantum of Solace was pretty good

Once Upon a Time in the West
20 minutes of awesome, followed by a bad movie. |
Blade
Blade (1998) - Opening Scene (HD) Also, Pitch Black's ship crash was a heck of a way to open a movie. |
The last boy scout. This one took me by surprise in the theater.
Football Opening | The Last Boy Scout (1991) |

Several minutes, all in 1 continuous shot, culminating in a car exploding |
Charles Bronson; You Brought Two Too Many |
2001: A Space Odyssey
"In the beginning... Darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Earth was without form, and void." OPENING TITLE SEQUENCE -- 2001 A Space Odyssey 1968 |
Mad max: The Road Warrior
Opening narration really really creeped me out. |
Debbie does Dallas
The opening really sets up the rest of the movie. |
The Godfather. No special effects or explosions, just great acting by Brando.
Night of the Living Dead. Dusk in a creepy cemetery with glimpses of some old guy shambling toward the protagonists through the headstones. The Exorcist. Not exactly the opening scene, but Ellen Burstyn's walk down the October streets of Georgetown while "Tubular Bells" plays on the soundtrack sets an ominous mood. |
Always
Opening scene to the Steven Spielberg film, “Always” (1989) |
