Why can’t anybody make one that last more than a couple of months? Maybe my kids are just too rough on them, but we probably have 5 or six in the house and they just don’t last very long. Any links to a better charger?

Get the original Apple 12w charger, for $19 and be done with it.

Charger or Cable?  I damage a cable every so often but I don't think I've ever broke the charger.

Keep supporting the Chinese.

I use Anker Powerline II cables. If your buy version II or higher on Amazon, if it ever fails, just email Anker the serial number on the cable, and they send you a replacement, free or charge.

And yes, I have used the warranty many times.

Relax Francis, he's just trying to charge his phone.

I think I have a multi port charger that might have a bad port, but other than that, always the cables.

Wireless charging master race.

Yeah, ever since I could get wireless charging, I rarely use the cord.

Absolutely never had an issue.

Cables, yes. But now I get the good Amazon brand ones.

May be the cable burning it up? All I use is an actual Apple charge cube and stouter cable from Duracell and never had an issue with the combo. Anker cable is my second choice in cables.

I bought a 10 pack of the 6’ braided amazon basics cords. My kid is hard on cords, he hasn’t killed any of them yet.

Yes, the cable, not the cube

This. My 11 Pro Max still has a virgin electricity hole.

As already said Anker is what you want.

I’ve had my phone for more than 3.5 years and am using the same charger.

Definitely Anker.  I’ve used their dual charger for years

The problem is usually one of two things with the charge cables.

people unplug it by pulling on the cord and not the actual plug, which eventually breaks the wires inside.

or the exposed charging contacts get damp and corrode, or just get damaged cause they are exposed.

Don’t buy anything not recommended by Apple. You can easily damage a device by using all the cheap aftermarket crap out there. I know Anker and Amazonbasic brand cables are MFI as are a few others

It’s probably user error if you are going through cables in months. I have lightning cables that are 4+ years old and, other being dirty, still work fine.

Thats a good tip perhaps.    I’ve had bad luck with every cable, except the Amazon brand (which are expensive)

Haven’t tired these yet, but like the design and gonna try them out when my cord breaks

Also everyone in my house uses a cable bite. It helps protect from cord bending.

Anker Powerline II in 6ft lengths. The extra length is really handy.

When you unplug the cable from the device grab the cable by the plug, and don't let kids put the weight of the device on the cable while holding it. My kids will have the cable bent at a 90 degree angle just below the plug and I yell at them every time for it
