Quoted:I am a 100% at home knowledge worker that works at a Fortune 20 company, and spend my day in virtual meetings/Office 365/Excel/Software Development User Stories/troubleshooting end user issues/administrating large user applications. Everybody comments that my audio and video in virtual meetings is great.
This is what you want for a good home office/virtual meeting work area:
Good office chair made by either Steelcase or Herman Miller. Not a "gaming" or a "Executive" chair which are crap. Steelcase "Leap V2" is a fantastic modern professional ergonomic chair. Do not buy new. Get a great condition used one from craigslist/eBay/local office furniture reseller. Everybody is working from home, office furniture and supplies from professional offices is being liquidated everywhere. A leap chair is $1k-2K new, $150-$350 in perfect used condition.

You need to change positions multiple time a day and work from both sitting and standing. Here is a budget option sit stand frame that you add your own/existing top and works great:
https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=15722A very large 4K monitor (40" to 50") is a game changer. I use a cheap TCL Roku 43" 4K television set ($220 at Sam's club) It is the
exact equivalent of four 21" 1080P screens "glued" together. No multiple monitors with bezels to worry about. Windows snap allows you to very easily/painlessly put one application in each quadrant, or split the monitor into two large areas one app on the left, one on the right, or a combination of both or even one huge application on the screen. The real estate is amazing if you are moving between applications frequently to do a task. If you go this route you need to make sure your laptop/desktop supports 4k resolution at 4:4:4 chroma though a HDMI connection. I used to have three high end monitors on my desk, both vertical and horizontal. Never again. This is way better, its like a powerwall that you can display everything on and you get more pixels to work with. Read this article to pick out one in the 40"-50" size:

Headphones: Get large over the ear headphones for comfort and call/sound quality. I use this pair and they are super comfortable. I wear them all day in meetings or listening to music, when not in a meeting. Sounds quality is amazing for the price:

Use that money and get good stuff that makes it easier to work.
