How’s it drive?

I have a 2000 TJ, and I’ve been talking about trading it finally for a CJ5. My dad mentioned that he’s been looking for a Ford GPW and I happened to mention to him that I wanted something a little older, without all the plastic. His response was “You know… that Willys I have down in the paint booth was driven into the last owner’s shop. He just tore it down to have it painted and never did anything else to it. You could just finish it.”

After looking around the property, I discovered that he actually has three ‘48s, one of which is an “ambulance” - I don’t believe it’s original, but it looks like a well-done DIY job. He said he has like $3,500 in all of them together.

Now I’m trying to decide if I should embark on yet another side project, to just leave them sit where they are. They’re all enclosed - two are in barns, the best one is in pieces in a climate-controlled shop.
