If you smelly hippies aren't spending a little cash right now you probably should. Dollar cost averaging is a thing. Waiting six months to save a penny may or may not work out.
Vegas currently says Trump is likely to win in 24. We will see... Anecdotal evidence and conspiracy theories regarding future elections aside, the Supreme Burrito Court may or may not come to the rescue in the AWB cases. The lower courts have pretty clearly shown that they do not care about Bruen, Heller, etc. Blah blah free men don't follow rules and all that shit... If vendors won't ship to your state or products simply are no longer made, it doesn't matter how you feel about the law. Some of the states under these fun new(ish) laws were bastions of freedom in the not so recent past. Expect a reinvigorated push at state levels if they prevail in the appeal process. So-called sanctuary states are a joke when they won't support their residents when the Federales come to call. Google the Kansas suppressor guys if you want a warm fuzzy on that one. Fudd bullets are the superior choice for all of your hand loading needs. Especially when they're cheap. ShootersProShop 338 caliber 180 gr. Just set up my KAC LPR to run Black Hills dual purpose and that loadout, ammunition alone costed $1,400. I'm spent right now. |

I signed up for prime during the big HST sale, did a few boxes at a time. I just finished my Black Hills thing, that took about a year. The key is to take advantage of free shipping (when it makes sense, sometimes it makes sense to pay shipping depending on price) Also leverage credit. That doesn't mean stack credit card debt, but it does mean if a certain load is a one time steal, grab it and then dedicate your normal ammo budget to the charge. Obviously depends on interest rate, the size of your purchase, etc. I guess in short, set goals |

I'd like the primed pulldown brass to load up some nice sealed SHTF ammo with pulled M319 and M80A1 (and some other interesting pulls) bullets I picked up a few years ago. For target stuff, I have thousands of SBS and LC 7.62x51mm brass I got for $0.05/case in 2016. Those were in spirit of this thread. A reloading shop went out of business and I bought multiple auctioned lots off GB of deprimed (but crimp intact) brass for below scrap. Broke out the credit card for that and got like 15k |

Picked up another half case of 9mm 124gr Win NATO for $126 delivered.
Totally worth buying bulk 9mm right now guys. I buy one every other week in preparation for 2024 crazy. Will sell off half next year for 50 cpr and basically end up with a bunch of free 9mm. Mark my words. Worse case, I don't reload 9mm again for a long time and can use that time for rifle ammo or shooting. https://www.targetsportsusa.com/winchester-usa-9mm-ammo-nato-124-gr-fmj-q4318-p-697.aspx Attached File Attached File |

I've been slowly building my .308 stash. I need to work on .223/5.56 some more. My 9mm is doing okay but I definitely need more of that. The only caliber that I feel good about is .22 since I haven't shot any in about 5 years.

We travel out of town to the gun shops on weekends, and every time we visit Sportsman's Warehouse their ammo display is shrinking...shrinking...shrinking...
During COVID they had reduced the space for ammo to one section of a long shelf unit. Every time I see 5.56 I buy as much as I can afford. I have not seen 45 ACP at SW in months. I had to get some who-knows-how-old Speer Lawman at some out-of-the-way ammo shop that caters to reloaders. That guy doesn't even sell guns anymore. Cabelas seems to have ammo off and on, as does Academy, but it's not like in the days where all three stores were well-stocked every time you walked in. I'm worried a year from now we may be looking at COVID era level stockouts. |
