Audi RS6/RS7 is the ultimate highway car to me.
Especially that avant/wagon RS6 flavor. I want one eventually. |

Dads f100 460 with two sheets of steel in the bed. (At least I think it was a f100)
That pick-up hugged the road. |

20 year old low mileage Crown Victoria.
"Cruising" for me means sprawling in a seat like a sofa, at 55 mph. |

Probably my 2010 charger pursuit, it has cruise control, my 07 P71 doesn't.

Audi A8 I had was amazing. Better than a Towncar, but a lot more expensive to keep running.

Sadly no manual tranny available though. I DD an A4 Avant on the sports package on Koni Yellows with a V6 and a 6MT. Tune, TTV SMF. It eats the miles pretty good. Also fun in the twisties. Just needs more power. Did Kentucky to OR in one shot. Was tired but not exhausted. |

I know a lot of folks think they’re ugly, but I will take a Porsche Panamera Turbo S.
Audi RS7 will be back up. I wish. |

View Quote My impression is that A) most people who say how much they hate the Panamera appearance are just parotting what they heard on Top Gear, and have probably not seen a lot of them in person. B) what made some people consider it ugly was the somewhat weird roof angle in the back, which no longer exists in the current models. So I can understand why some people honestly did not like the 1st Gen Panamera, but I have a really hard time taking anyone seriously who says that the current 2nd Gen is "ugly" |

The 1st gen proportions combined with the shape were just kinda weird. |

I drove an 88 Alfa Romeo Milano from DC to Little Rock in one 17hr stretch. It was an automatic with self leveling rear suspension. Amazing ride for such a small car and ate up the miles. The other car that impressed on the freeway was @1996 long-wheelbase Jaguar XJ6. Really haven't driven a luxury car in a long time.

When I owned a livery car service, I had an Audi A8L with the V8. That was the most comfortable traveling car I've ever owned and I miss it dearly. Unfortunately, I lost the transmission, and they're not swappable. Each one was hand made at the time and mated with the engine in your car. To get a replacement, you had to have one hand built and it cost significantly more than the car was worth. I have dreams about driving that car 15 years later.

The hubby’s jag convertible for zippy fun. My F150 for a very comfy driving trip with the pup.

I'll bet the later model cayenne turbos are ridiculous. Attached File |

Mother had a supercharged 1994 Buick Park Avenue that we called the big comfy couch. A highway cruiser that would seat six comfortably and run 80 all day and not breathe hard. If the road got twisty, that was a different story but smooth, straight stretches of interstate were a piece of cake. She hated that car because it wasn't her beloved 1988 Oldsmobile.

‘85 Chevy Suburban with a bench seat and the damn ball chiller A/C vent.
Driving a comfy couch down the Highway with a high view to see everything |
