Just some tidbit info for those who care (or not care).

  1. When using your VPN service make sure WebRTC is disbled in whatever browser you are using. Your real IP can be ID'd using webRTC crap

  2. I recommend FF so you can easily change settings using about:config

  3. I also recommend you create another FF profile and then change the user agent setting for that profile

The how-to's for this is all online, just search for it.

And btw, FBI guy that was shown on the news this AM, said they don't have anyone who has "raised their hand" in effort to attack any Capitol anywhere. DC green zone is just for show, Gilead at it's best.

Your external IP address is basically your internet phone number (that can be reverse looked up)
VPN is basically call forwarding from an anonymous number.
If you don't do what he said, people can still possibly see the original number the call came from.

Whatever browser used, turn off webRTC if it has it. If you can't turn it off, use another browser.

There are many super lightweight browsers to be had, but they might not work on all sites.

FF = FireFox.

??

Cash for a phone at wall-fart using a very heavy covid mask (and odd clothing you don't normally wear, + gloves), basically anonymizes your phone. But your comms via the phone is still open to the govt.

I use Brave for browsing, I don't think they have the ability to turn that feature off.

Here's the page describing their various webRTC settings:

I do think it's cute that people are worried about being tracked on the internet,  so going to VPN and switching browsers and such. Lmao

With Patriot act and the NSA and backdoors into windows 10 and our phones, you think that shit is working, your crazier than me.

The horse left the barn long ago. Embrace the fact that we are all be tracked and watched electronically.  Live your lives and stop being so damn scared.  Sheesh

Or, you could use TOR browser.

"Tor Browser is built without WebRTC support, since WebRTC can be used to circumvent Tor's proxy settings via ICE over UDP.

In Firefox, WebRTC support is controlled by media.peerconnection.enabled preference, and it's set to false by default in Tor Browser. But, even enabling this preference would not turn WebRTC on, since the Firefox binary does not contain the functionality." -anon

There's also browser fingerprinting.  You want to spoof that.

Personally I don't even use a VPN unless I need to.  I *want* them to know what I'm up to.

It's not going to help. They grab everything coming thru the fiber and take a look. It's not legal in the U.S. so they grab it in the UK. and off the west coast.

Download the "WebRTC Leak Prevent" extension for your browser

Download the eff's "Privacy Badger" extension for your browser.

Lots more to do but those are two simple things that anyone can do.
