I'm optimistic that nothing is going to happen.
As it relates to present day sentiments, the mindset of guns in 1994 is like comparing apple to oranges. The Democrat majority in the House is only 10 members. If the filibuster is removed, the senate needs 51 votes. When anti-gun groups are already saying the votes are not there, I have to believe them. Any lawmaker in a purple district isn't going to vote on something that will ensure and end to their political career. |

You left out "unregistered weapons"
You left out non-serialized guns "ghost guns" that are "all over the streets" Also it's worth noting that the draft of the '94 AWB included handguns but where omitted because they knew that provision would kill the deal. I expect it will be incremental, continued chiseling starting with "weapons of war" being added to the NFA that will become AWB 2.0. I expect them to go after 80% lowers, and try to kill "parts kits" on the internet, forced to buy from a gun store eventually with a background check of course. I'm sure if they have their way being in possession of STL files for a 3D printed firearm will be "just as bad" as child porn. |

Then they close loopholes by expanding red flag laws beyond mere gun cases, why should not being a gun owner allow someone to exercise extremist right wing views like due process. That's the worst case, but it ignores probability. The likelihood of the worst case occurring is very small. But its not zero. |
