The guy selling it calls it his Jurassic Park Special, but I see it more as Wind River. What do you think?

That's a .45-70.

45-70 in 16" barrel if price is right just buy it. I would have one yet couldn't shoot it with my fucked up shoulder. Yet nice looking gun.

Shouldn’t that be Jurassic World?

I prefer it in Wind River.

It was featured in the Jurassic World movie. If you go to the website for it a little T-Rex icon is listed next to the deer and moose and Elk icons.

And Wind River, just because it was a better movie than Jurassic World.

Also, I'm pretty sure it was probably the same gun in both films, they looked identical in both films, same scope, same black scope rings.

The rifle in Jurassic World had elevated, see-through, scope rings.
Wind river had low mount rings.
Also, the scopes are different as the Wind River one has a black adjustment block and zoom ring.

The Pterodactyls swooping through the crowds were pretty damn funny, but that's about all that movie had going for it.

"That girl made it 6 miles through the snow, barefoot. That's a warrior. I bet you don't make 600 feet."

BAM! when he lights it off with the muzzle about 2" from that guy's ear, just awesome.

Wind River is the choice of champions.

It was a hell of a lot better than Star Wars episode 7, with which it shared a few characteristics (sequel set 25-ish years later, new reluctant hero, etc.).

And in both movies it was apparently semi-automatic.

18.5" barrel BTW, not 16.

One of the driving factors in my 4-5/8 stainless Blackhawk purchase. I was already on the edge before I had seen the movie

Hard to argue with that.

And the movie was really ok, just didn't measure up to the original or Wind River. Pratt is funny and likeable, and the redheaded woman is beautiful too. Looked like she's had a lot of work done on her face though

I’m going with Wind River because of the lower rings and non annoying movie.

As someone else said, supposedly for gloved hands, but I find it just a lot easier to use to reload rapidly. Plus, I was a big fan of The Rifleman when I was a kid.

He never fired it at the t-rex and the one critter he did shoot it at only seemed annoyed by it.

It was a nice rifle for the spot though, as far as a large shoulder fired easily portable long gun that is simple and reliable it would be a pretty good choice.

I would have preferred a gun with tracks though...

Flipping guys over in Wind River really cheapened it.

A local shop had a SPAS12 during the panic, I can't remember the price on it but it wasn’t terrible. I thought hard about taking it home.

In the end I decided it wasn't worth the price of admission.
