Do you have a link to an example thread where it’s not working?
Often times it’s something silly like text getting in the image link or an accidental space or something. Have to look and see and the individual instances. |

Looks like it is some files out of synch somehow. Bad server or something, which we have been dealing with on and off. Since they are created dynamically, it's very hard to see when one is off and it can be replaced as traffic slows.
Getting links to items showing up with the resource error helps. Let me know if this keeps happening. |

If it happens, try to shift/ctrl+reload the page (depends on browser which one you use to load a fresh copy of the page code). Odds are something could still be off with one of the servers.
What really sucks is everything so far has been fine for me. That makes it much harder to see the issue.

For me the problem flickers.
For the same image in the same thread, sometimes the image appears, and sometimes it doesn't. The image can stop working a few minutes after it was working. |

Storage was not mirroring properly causing servers to be out of synch. Should be ok for now.

I didn't think to look but was the reverse proxy or web server sending an HTTP code for a gateway error? I imagine that wouldn't get cached. If the web server was responding with a success code (e.g. 200 OK) even though there was a failure, and the response didn't include any caching headers, sometimes browsers will try to be "smart" about caching it (and thus cache the failure). |
