I think there was a rules change that slowed everyone down.  This year was the first time I watched the races on youtube, and I was surprised by the speeds in Formula 1, and the airplanes, I expected to see more refined airplanes like Nemesis and AeroMagic.

I used to work on AeroMagic with a friend here that bought the airplane from Sharp.  It was 100 pounds overweight and was fast, but not fast enough.
