Just like it says.  I can drink a protein shake in the AM or after a workout, and about 30min later it's explosive toilet time.   Any ideas?

I'm not a tender tummy and it's all kinds.    I can't really find anything that doesn't.    I'm not lactose intolerant, but I also just mix with water.

Thoughts from the protein experts?   Thanks gang.

I have the same issue.  My Doc says they cause rapid gas build up which results in the discomfort

Thanks.   It'd be nice to do a protein shake for breakfast and not have to worry about diving off the interstate in a freaking hurry.  haha

Are you using whey isolate?

I prefer it, seems to cause little to no gas compared to cheap whey.

I only take 1/2 scoop.

Full scoop is dangerous.

Ha Ha, tomorrow is my day off.

Try pea protein like Warrior Blend?

Possible food allergy.

Rice protein will give me heartburn but I can tolerate it.

Whey will self eject one way or another in under 30 minutes. I have a proven dairy allergy so that makes sense.

Try different types and you'll probably find one you can tolerate.

Probably all the artificial sweeteners, usually Sucralose.  That stuff is poison.

Really hard to find any protein powder or shake without it.

Agreed.

I was using a few different brands of protein but eventually settled on NAKED.
No crap, and didnt mess my stomach up.

This one is great.  Has minimal additives and includes digestive enzymes.  Many mass produced brands have all kinds of unnecessary additives.

https://hosstile.com/collections/protein

The brand Like a Pro has very high quality products with no additives but their protein tends to be more bland.  Most of the cleaner ones are bland but the hosstile one is really good especially the cinnamon oatmeal cookie.

Like a Pro has really good bcaa/eaa powder though.  I like the ocean paradise and sour gummy.

Anyone tried the whey isolate from Titan Nutrition?

Well, so much for Titan nutrition haha.  Two good days then tried the cherry flavor:

I only buy unflavored.

Isopure is good, and Myprotein is pretty good too.

Only has whey and the anti caking agent as ingredients.

I'm telling you man this company makes very high quality stuff.  Their protein pretty darn clean.  It does have sucralose.

I've noticed if I take my protein shake too early after working or drinking it too fast I have stomach issues. If I wait about 30 mins after my workout and take my time drinking my shake, my stomach issues are pretty much nil.

It's not scientific, but it's seems to work for me.

Good workout.   Drank it shortly after.   Then about an hour or so later it cramped the stomach and I've described the rest.    Grrrrrr

Try getting a protein that has digestive enzymes in it or buy digestive enzymes.  1st phorm is a great brand or just go buy what gnc has.  I take them when I'm at the top of my bulk.  It just helps digest stuff and usually helps with gas and bloating.

Could be a milk intolerance or allergy.

I switched to an animal based protein and I dont have that issue.

Not all protein is created equal. I’d bet there are over a half dozen types of powdered proteins, at least.

Also look at the additives in the proteins you’re using.

I’d try multiple brands and types and figure out what it is about the protein you’ve tried that’s messing you up.

Not going to recommend one because I’m sure GD has already recommended 30 types or brands.

I’ve made a concentrated effort to eliminate it from anything I ingest, even pre and Intra workouts.

AthleanX makes a good protein without sucralose. But I agree it’s not easy to find.

I also use Promix, unflavored, and mix it in my daily coffee to help get a boost of protein wherever I can. It’s tough restricting calories while still getting 250 grams of protein and chicken breasts get old

I have no issues with the Premier Protein ones. Good buy at Costco but you can get them elsewhere.

Most have artificial sweetener which are well documented to cause diarrhea and/or loose stools.

Nope, but not against it.  Will give it a shot.

The whole issue is I'd like to be able to drink one for breakfast while hitting the road and not stop somewhere down the interstate before I claymore my truck interior.  LOL

I have IBS.  Protein shakes are supposed to be bad for that.

I didn't know and started a daily dymatize ISO 100 shake.  Stomach problems actually lessened.

Some shakes are bad.  Some good.
