I’m not looking for something fancy with smoking capabilities or anything, just a gas grill that I will not have to replace in 3 years.

Weber.
They have a 10yr warranty on all components, excluding normal wear and tear.

My Weber Q grill has been awesome. Been sitting on my deck year-round for about 6 or 7 years and is still in great shape.

Weber is good stuff. It wouldn't take a lot for other companies to have the same reputation but I'm sure Weber don't mind they can't figure it out.

Weber or MHP grills.
Modern Home Product grills are fucking bomb proof. Even more so than webers.

Weber seems to last longer than the rest we have tried. So many look good originally but rust out after a few years. Lots of moisture in the air here.

Weber for sure.

I am really enjoying my Blaze 32" LTE grill. It's built like a tank, solid, and cooks great, especially with the infrared burner. Lifetime warranty on everything including burners, grids and flame tamers. I looked at Webers but I wanted the ability to add a good infrared burner. Weber is probably the best you'll get at a home improvement or general consumer store without venturing into the outdoor living stores.

If you don't wanna shell out for a Weber, I have Char Broil that has been going strong for 5+ years.
If someone else were paying, I'd take a Weber.

Weber - either Genesis or Summit. I have a Summit natural gas that will be starting its 10th year this year. ONLY thing that has failed is the igniter for the side burner - gotta fix that one of these days.
No regrets, and sometimes you can find a nat gas version left over form the previous year for a lot off. No humping bottles! Price your cost to add a tap to your gas line though.

I don't remember who made it but I bought one from ALDI and that thing lasted eight years.
I bought a small Weber to replace it.

Soooo much nicer than the low/mid range gas grills I've had in the past.

Weber Genesis has been great for me. I was like you, buying a new pretty grill from Lowe’s or HD every few years. Had the Genesis 330 with sear and side burner for 5 years.

Keep it covered and don't let it sit in the rain and it will last a long time.

I don't own one, but the consensus in these threads is always "Weber, buy once, cry once".
I'm perfectly happy with my Weber Kettle.

Going on 4 with mine.
Still looks and runs like it was new. No reason this thing shouldnt last at least 10 years.
The way the unit breaks down for cleaning is top notch also. It follows the KISS rule and I'm surprised how hard other grills I've had in the past were to break down vs. the genesis.

Between gas and charcoal, it's definitely a get both proposition.
All SS. I have had mine for about a year now and it still looks new. I grill at least once a week, sometimes two or three times a week. Burners are also cast SS. A friend has one that is over 10 years old and still looks relatively new. Hasn't had to change a part yet. We live on the coast, so for me, that's saying something....
