Yeah, it's a hippie thing, but man do they have some good eats. Only place we can find smoked oysters that are not China sourced. I love to shop there with all all the hippies, while legally carrying my Shield .45. You?

They used to have these awesome dried strawberries. I pretty much stopped going there when they stopped carrying them. Plus, stinky hippies.
Good deals on cheese and inexpensive wine. Some pretty good frozen stuff. The produce sucks.

It's not hippie anymore. 15 or so years ago when the store started out, it was really cool. The merchandise on the shelf was always changing, in accordance on the deals they scored. Now, everything is their own brand. The store is not as fun to shop, but it is good food, at a good deal. Booze too.

Wife loves their wines... good selection of brews also
Some unique foods, we like it |
They were the only store that carried Oranjeboom. We used to call it "hooligan beer."
Horseradish Hummus with their garlic naan (toasted of course ) FTMFW!
GTG esp. their cheeses. I buy 5 gal of their apple juice at a time to make hard cider. They also have a good deal on frozen US wild caught cod. I stock up when we go.
I only go to the supermarket for red meat, fish, and the occasional weird ingredient. TJ's has everything else we need at a similar or better price.

Love the place. I know a guy that that works there and he's a butthole, but the food is good.
Their house brand ketchup is the best ketchup I've ever had.
Their brand of beers are good too, and inexpensive. "The heavy lift vessel " is my favorite. Olive oil is dirt cheep there. Their stuffed pastas are great. They usually have some kind of interesting snack or drink to try too. I'm a fan |
years ago, when they were only (?) in AZ(?) they were good for a visit for stuff to have locally or bring home
now that there are a couple in CO, I'm not feeling the love anymore. one's in boulder and the other in denver. both a considerable amount of time to just go there for whatever |
I have driven by the one in my town for years, but I have never stopped in.
Don't know why. |
Trader Joe’s Sriracha is best Sriracha. That and their Green Dragon sauce.
Say what you will, but their house brand beer is amazingly inexpensive for the quality.
Trader joe's is awesome, we go as much as we can.
As a poster said above, its not one stop shopping, but their selection of sauces spices and specialties is awesome! Highly recommended. Also, if you haven't tried the dill pickle popcorn, dont, its crack in a bag |

Meh. Their meat market blows and their produce selection isn't much better.

Coffee
Salt and Pepper Pistachios Chips Frozen, some My goto store for certain special things A.W.D. |

Some items that I can't find elsewhere are great and fairly cheap. Some of their items can be pretty crappy, all depends on their sourcing.
Interesting thing about TJs: its origins go back to a German supermarket named Aldi, who is apparently planning to open more stores stateside under the original name. |

I probably go there at least once a week for groceries. Fresh fruits and veggies, some meats, cheese, bread, nuts, nut butters, some canned goods. I love the place.
People from work think I'm a bouji asshole because I don't get all my groceries from Aldi's or Walmart. I do probably 95% of our cooking at home from scratch(no pre made frozen stuff) and we spend about $180-230 a week there. This doesn't include trip to costco and various other stores. Long story short, TJ's is pretty awesome. |

I go pretty often. Good booze for a good price. Other stuff is from OK to good quality for a fair to cheap price.
A lot of good buys there. I like there selection of dried fruits and nuts.
The one I go to doesn't have many hippies. Mostly a bunch of finch hot milfs. |
Meh. It’s cheap, foreign-sourced food sold in small portions to appear cheaper. Fresh Market is better.
We stop there on our way out of town when we go to Nashville.

Trader Joe's and Aldis are essentially the same company. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfSFLyJqXfs Theodor Paul "Theo" Albrecht He owned and was the CEO of the Aldi Nord discount supermarket chain. In the US he owned the Trader Joes specialty grocery store chain. His brother Karl owned the Aldi Sud discount supermarket chain. The two chains originally were a single family enterprise until a friendly division of assets in 1960. Aldi Sud operates the Aldi groceries in the United States. Aldi and Trader Joes while owned by the brothers, have separate and distinct ownership and operations. |

I love the cheap flowers, basil, pita bread & hippies wearing yoga pants.
The one near me sucks so I don't go. Stuff isn't organized very well, selection sucks, doesn't have stuff that I'm looking for when I'm looking for stuff that I can't get at Kroger so I end up going to a specialty shop anyway.
