Do you really get that much of a different experience watching it in the theater vs. on your couch? I mean, I’ve got a big screen, solid surround sound, I can completely relax or recline, I don’t have to spend the $14 or whatever it is, I have a have a fridge stocked full of food, and I can have my MP5 next to me for that “feel part of the action” element.
There are certain movies where I might understand, but mostly imax type stuff. I’ve seen “Die Hard” 100x, and yeah, I’ll watch it every time I comes on. I’m just not sure I’ll rush to the movie theater to do so |

I just bought a gray sweat shirt and pants, and a jumbo red sharpie.

Yep. Sunday with my 21yo kid.
We've seen North by Northwest and Vertigo at other Fathom Events. Cool stuff. |

Quoted: When Super Troopers 2 came out they did a special double-feature with the original. I've seen that enough times to pretty much reenact the entire movie but never saw it at a theater when it first came out. It was awesome seeing it on the big-screen for the first time so I can only imagine how cool it would be to see Die Hard. View Quote |

This was the first film I saw in the theater where people applauded at the end. Instant classic. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

What kind of a home TV movie connoisseur are you? And, if you're only watching broadcast TV, then you're not watching it in true full 1080p HD. |

Nice. In a good theater near the house to on Sunday. Will check with the wife...

It was like the first action movie that wasn't 80s cliche cheesy.

I’ll be working through both showings. View Quote you have to stay outside the doors guarding the red velour ropes for the entire showing? that sucks, man. i feel for ya. maybe you can suggest a "staff matinee" or something like that -- you know, mgmt giving back to the troops. |

A movie theater is just a place where people go to eat nachos and talk to each other in the dark.

Just bought tickets for Sunday. Didn't even know it was in theaters so thanks OP
|

I saw this on TCM last night. I wonder if they are doing it in San Antonio.

Tickets bought for Wednesday.
I'm working night shift, but getting up early for the 2 oclock show. |
|
|
I've had my tickets since April, going on sunday. I can't wait to see it on the big screen.
|
|
I only have a P7M8, but its coming out of carry retirement for a day and going into a Delfatti ISP for the show Wednesday
|
|
|
Wasn't planning on it, but the three closest theaters where it's at are posted 30.06 & 30.07, so definitely not.

I brought the family to see it. So far we are the only people in the theater 30 minutes before the show starts. I figured there would be more interest but if it wasn't for this thread I wouldn't have known about it. Maybe they had poor marketing.
