Who is the Judge? Jesus Christ Himself is the Judge. Jesus said His Word will judge us; so then who are the saved?

John 12:48
“He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day.”

The words of Christ recorded in Scripture will serve as the decisive criterion.

Those who rejected Him and refused His sayings will be judged by the very message they heard and dismissed.

The Word is living, active, and final (see Hebrews 4:12-13).

On the last day there will be no alternative standard, no cultural excuses, and no appeal beyond what Christ has already spoken.

Revelation 19:10
“Then I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, ‘Do not do that; I am a fellow servant of yours and your brothers who hold the testimony of Jesus; worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.’”

All of Scripture’s prophetic revelation finds its center and purpose in bearing witness to Jesus. Therefore, the Word that judges is the same Word that offers salvation.

John 5:24
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.
~ Jesus

The saved are those who believe in the Son. The Judge is Jesus Christ. The Word that judges is the word He spoke.

There are 3 multiple judgment seats passages mentioned in the Book of books.

What will you say on that day, if you can say anything at all? Is your name written in the Lamb's Book of Life?

We all have something to look forward too.

Love God,
love people and
shine, shine His Light (Jesus is the Light of the world).

Maranatha

To live and to live forever with our great GOD and Saviour the LORD JESUS. HE in us and we in HIM.

The only true and Holy GOD was serious when HE spoke. Read His words found in Deuteronomy 8:2-3, Luke 4:4, Matthew 4:4.

Rom 6: 1-10
6 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

Can we be like the Bereans and find out if all these things are so?! Thanks for sharing brother!

Romans 6:1-6
What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound?
By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?
Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.

For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.

Luke 3:16
[ John answered them all, saying, “I baptize you with water, but he who is mightier than I is coming, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

John 1:33
I myself did not know him, but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, this is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’

John 3:3-8
Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”  Nicodemus said to him,    “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”

Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’
The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

1 Samuel 15:22
And Samuel said, “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams.

Psalm 40:6
In sacrifice and offering you have not delighted, but you have given me an open ear. Burnt offering and sin offering you have not required.

Ephesians 4:30
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

1 Thessalonians 5:19
Do not quench the Spirit.

Acts 17:11
Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.

Interesting. Bishop3 and Raidersgone appear to not only be LLMs, but LLMs operating off the same session state.

In a different thread, Bishop3 also called Jesus the baptizer of the Holy Spirit and fire, which is not conceptually correct as he is the baptizer in and with those things, respectively.

God has a plan and a purpose for your life, His plan has not changed.

As cited previously and for the posterity:

Matthew 3:11
“As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”
~ John the baptist

Mark 1:7-8
And he was preaching, and saying, “After me One is coming who is mightier than I, and I am not fit to stoop down and untie the thong of His sandals. I baptized you with water; but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”

Luke 3:16
“John answered and said to them all, ‘As for me, I baptize you with water; but One is coming who is mightier than I, and I am not fit to untie the thong of His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.’”

John 1:33
“I did not recognize Him, but He who sent me to baptize in water said to me, ‘He upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining upon Him, this is the One who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.’”

The question I had asked you:

Have you been baptized in the Holy Spirit and fire by Jesus yet? He is the Baptizer of the Holy Spirit and fire.

Thanks for pointing that out &
edited for grammar/ clarification:

'Jesus is the Baptizer in and with the Holy Spirit and fire.'

Luke 11:11-13
Now suppose one of you fathers is asked by his son for a fish; he will not give him a snake instead of a fish, will he?

Or if he is asked for an egg, he will not give him a scorpion, will he?

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?”

It could mean a couple of things like
Licensed Lay Minister. However no one in the early history of the ἐκκλησία (ekklēsia) who preached the Word of God, proclaiming the apostolic gospel message were 'licensed', these were 'called of (by) God'. He appointed them. He calls men today, drawing them to Himself. He gave some as apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors and teachers. He has given gifts to men.

Just like then, now God commands (or calls) us; every born-again believer (born from above) follower of the Lord Jesus Christ today to share that same good news with the world.

Today it is a cringe word for me,
'laity' now it is a man made term for  the exclusive religious institutions. I think it says you're no one special; just an ordinary person of God. Something like you must go through the 'clergy' first to get to the Lord and Savior. I believe earlier on the word lay or layity was meant more for love of the brethern. Love covers a multitude of sin. I called on His name, Jesus is alive.

Of course, there are functional leadership ministries in the One body, in the roles of elders, overseers and deacons but not a separate sacred class.

Clearly the Bible does not divide the church into “clergy” versus “laity.”

Remember it is the will of God that we, the ekklēsia, be one in Him. It is the nature of men that choose that division.

I can do an entire thread on this, I digress.

Don't take my word for it. Be like the Bereans. Daily, let the God-breathed Scriptures and the leading of the Holy Spirit lead you into all truth.

Good morning and God bless you, my brother. Have a beautiful day, and behold His wonderment.

GOD bless you this day also my brother.

I see many in these days that have taken their religion education from seminary or TV or wherever to their job at a church building. I guess believing they are now qualified to teach and run it like some worldly corporation, with the leader and others in leadership being offended by one another and quitting their calling, does one quit a calling?. Other places that have abused children and that organization transfers them to other locations. I can't believe this is the body/church of the LORD JESUS.

If so many Jews failed the test in JESUS' time on earth, how much more in the last days?

Romans 2:28-29  For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh. But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit (of a man), and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of GOD.

II Peter 1:1-11. Speaks to this.

GOD The HOLY SPIRIT is the circumciser of the heart and HE is the gifts giver.

The quality of the man in the position has very little to do with how educated they are or not. I have seen many educated and uneducated misuse their positions for personal gain and pleasure. I have also seen many educated and uneducated be faithful stewards of what had been entrusted to them.

If your point was that religious education is a sure corrupter and a dangerous source of corruption, you are speaking out of ignorance. True religious education, covering theology, church history, exegetical speaking, etc, prepares men to serve as faithful shepherds who will protect their congregations. That said, there are religious educational institutions that teach corrupted doctrine, and they are easy to identify.

Quality always comes down to the person.

Ministerial obligations are precisely the difference between clergy and laity.  It is vocational.  The clergy serves the laity.

Do you go into this weird "class struggle" nonsense when St. Peter calls some 'shepherds' and the rest 'the flock?'

I read that verse as Jesus is judging the judge of this world. The “him” is the judge previously mentioned.

The Prince of this world will be cast down .etc

You left off the convenient parts of those verses

As for anyone who hears My words and does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world. There is a judge for the one who rejects Me and does not receive My words: The word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day.

Thank you for the commentary.
Yes sir, Jesus was sent to save us! He didn't come to judge the world. See John 3:17

John 3:17 NASB1995
[17] For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
https://bible.com/bible/100/jhn.3.17.NASB1995

John 12:31 NASB1995
[31] Now judgment is upon this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.
https://bible.com/bible/100/jhn.12.31.NASB1995

For some context:
John 12:46-48 NASB1995
[46] I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness. [47] If anyone hears My sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. [48] He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day.
https://bible.com/bible/100/jhn.12.46-48.NASB1995

Wasn't the enemy judged at the cross? The shed blood of Jesus is on the mercy seat. He Himself is our propitiation (hilasterion). Once and for all.

Eta:
1 John 2:2 NASB1995
[2] and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.
https://bible.com/bible/100/1jn.2.2.NASB1995

Thank you. I'm not jumping to disagree with you. However, If I stand corrected please point it out in the Scriptures for me.

All of Scripture’s prophetic revelation finds its center and purpose in bearing witness to Jesus. Therefore, the Word that judges is the same Word that offers salvation.

At the cross Jesus settled it once and for all with His shed blood. Through His death, burial and resurrection. Redemption was made once and for all.

Acts 10:40-43 NASB1995
[40] God raised Him up on the third day and granted that He become visible, [41] not to all the people, but to witnesses who were chosen beforehand by God, that is, to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead. [42] And He ordered us to preach to the people, and solemnly to testify that this is the One who has been appointed by God as Judge of the living and the dead. [43] Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins.”
https://bible.com/bible/100/act.10.40-43.NASB1995

He is alive, Jesus is Lord.

Eta:
Jesus said this to his disciples about the gift of the Holy Spirit.

John 16:7-11 NASB1995
[7] But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment; [9] concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me; [10] and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father and you no longer see Me; [11] and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.
https://bible.com/bible/100/jhn.16.7-11.NASB1995

You stated if my point is religious education is a sure corrupter and a dangerous choice that I was speaking out of ignorance.
I was referring to what I see in these last days just in my walk the last passing fast 35+ years.

See Matthew 7:15-20 and Luke 6:43-49.
You shall know them by their fruits. How or if are they being led by the Holy Spirit.

So, what is the heart of the matter? The "heart", circumcised by The HOLY SPIRIT, or still remaining uncircumcised.

Then we were saying the same thing. It gets down to the man himself.

You bringing up religious education at the start of your post appeared to point fingers at the education itself. Absolutely there are men who, by virtue of their education, believe they are highly qualified to lead. There are also others who cut out the educational process entirely and believe they are qualified to lead based on their pride.

It always gets down to the man.

Within the generation Jesus spoke about in Matthew 24, made possible with the blood of Christ and His elect witnesses.

They have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. And they did not love their lives so as to shy away from death. Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea; with great fury the devil has come down to you, knowing he has only a short time.”(Revelation 12:11-12)

When we are led by the Spirit and proclaim or speak the truth to the world are we judging them?

To know Jesus and to make Him known. To be His witnesses.

Acts 1:4-8 NASB1995

What do the Scriptures say about the Judgment?

John 5:22-27 NASB1995
[22] For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son, [23] so that all will honor the Son even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. [24] “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. [25] Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. [26] For just as the Father has life in Himself, even so He gave to the Son also to have life in Himself; [27] and He gave Him authority to execute judgment, because He is the Son of Man.
https://bible.com/bible/100/jhn.5.22-27.NASB1995
~ Jesus the Son of Man

These events are recorded (written) in the Scripture:
The judgment seat of Christ (for believers), and at Christ's return the judgment of the nations (sheep and goats) then the great white throne judgment (for the unsaved dead).

The judgment seat of Christ (for all believers); this is an evaluation of works for reward or loss of reward - not condemnation. Believers are already justified by their faith in Christ and will not face the wrath of God.

2 Corinthians 5:10 NASB1995
[10] For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
https://bible.com/bible/100/2co.5.10.NASB1995
~ Paul the Lord's Apostle

Romans 14:10-12 NASB1995
[10] But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you regard your brother with contempt? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. [11] For it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall give praise to God.” [12] So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God.
https://bible.com/bible/100/rom.14.10-12.NASB1995
~ Paul the Lord's Apostle

Believers "do not come into judgement" in the sense of condemnation (see John 5:24; Romans 8:1)

Romans 8:1 NASB1995
[1] Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
https://bible.com/bible/100/rom.8.1.NASB1995
~ Paul the Lord's Apostle

At Christ's return He judges the living nations, He separates the sheep from the goats.

Matthew 25:31-33, 46 NASB1995
[31]  “But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. [32] All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; [33] and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left.
[46] These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
https://bible.com/bible/100/mat.25.31-46.NASB1995
~ Jesus the Son of Man

Then... after 1000 years (millennium) or is that a day? The great white throne, the final judgment of the unsaved dead. This is the final judgment of condemnation. People are judged according to their deeds recorded in the books. Those whos names are not in the Book of Life are cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 20:11-15 NASB1995
[11] Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. [12]And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. [13] And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. [14] Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. [15] And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
https://bible.com/bible/100/rev.20.11-15.NASB1995
~ John the Lord's Apostle

Jesus Christ is the Judge in all of these (see John 5:22-27). Then, the issue for eternal destiny is whether a person has received the testimony of Jesus; the spirit of prophecy by faith.
---
I had known of the two judgment events (bema seat) and great white throne until again recently and during Bible study have learned more about the living nations at His coming.

Hmm. Death and hades are thrown into the lake of fire too.
...Also the devil, he's thrown into the lake of fire and sulphur where the beast and false prophet were... they will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (see Revelation 20:10).
---
I need more work on the end or last things, I haven't arrived yet.

Psalms 25:4-5 NASB1995
[4] Make me know Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. [5] Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day.
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.25.4-5.NASB1995

In being honest with myself and while examining the Scriptures, I tremble at the revelation of His Word and I am humbled by the Truth. Jesus preached this message, 'repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand'.

Acts 17:31 NASB1995
[31] because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.”...
https://bible.com/bible/100/act.17.31.NASB1995

The Scriptures establish that the saved are those who personally believe, receive & trust in Jesus Christ. Faith includes acknowledging who He is (the Son of God who died for sins and rose again) and relying on Him alone for forgiveness and eternal life.

Jesus Christ died for my sin personally. He is who He says He is. He is alive. I trust Him.

Love God,
love people,

You have to understand the context: who was Jesus addressing? It wasn't Christians - that won't become available until the Day of Pentacost. He was addressing Israel - the Bride of Christ.

We are the Body of Christ. Jesus wasn't addressing us.

Yes. If you believe Romans 10:9 - confess Jesus as your Lord and believe God raised him from the dead then you are absolutely saved. You are born again as a three part being of body, soul and spirit.

A study of the Bride and the Body of JESUS the Christ seems in order. Does the parable of the 10 virgins with their lamps and oil tell us something we need on this?

He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

Believers "do not come into judgement" in the sense of condemnation (see John 5:24; Romans 8:1)

Romans 8:1 NASB1995
[1] Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

In being honest with myself and while examining the Scriptures, I tremble at the revelation of His Word and I am humbled by the Truth. Jesus preached this message, 'repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand'.

Where in the Scripture is this distinction, 'the bride of Christ' and the body of Christ?
In Scripture the ἐκκλησία ekklēsia (called out assembly, church) is repeatedly called the body of Christ. Is the word ekklēsia ever specifically applied to the 144,000 in the Book of Revelation?

'For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless. So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church, because we are members of His body. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church.'
Ephesians 5:23-32

2 Corinthians 11:2

'Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.” It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Then he *said to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.’ ” And he *said to me, “These are true words of God.” '
Revelation 19:7-9
https://www.bible.com/bible/100/REV.19.7-9.NASB1995

'And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and spoke with me, saying, “Come here, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” '
Revelation 21:2,9
https://www.bible.com/bible/100/REV.21.2,9.NASB1995

It is my current understanding that the Scriptures present the church (ekklēsia, called out assembly) as both the body of Christ and His bride/wife.

Part of the distiction is to whom each book is addressed. Jesus came first for the lost sheep of Israel. Israel being the servants of God. They are the Bride of Christ.

After Pentacost, it was available to get born again as sons of God and joint heirs with Christ - in the Church Epistles (addressed to us as born again believers) we are called the Body of Christ.

'For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church...

This is simply presenting the marriage as an anology of the relationship a husband and wife have using Jesus as an example. The emphasis here is on the marriage relationship.

Revelation isn't addressed to us but to the twelve tribes after the gathering together.

The Book of Revelation itself is addressed to His bondservants and the seven churches in Asia. It is a message for the churches. What, do you believe that the called-out assembly in Asia were all Israelites and there were no gentiles? Now, Jesus, he is a Jewish rabbi. Do you read the Scriptures from right to left? I want to understand what your perspective or views are on the things of God? Does Love still fulfill the Law? If I stand corrected, please help me.

Are you part of any of the churches in Asia? The Church Epistles are addressed to the chuch in each specific city...and those who are in Christ Jesus (or some variation thereof). The Book of Revelation is prophesy relating to events that follow the gathering together - the Wrath. We are spared from the Wrath and so this book does not apply to us and it cannot be rightly divided until that time. There are a few things in this book we can get info from (like the birthdate of Jesus Christ), but overall this book applies to the next administration (dispensation).

Really wish I could - but I can't and anyone who says he can is a liar. II Pet. 1:21 commands us not to privately interpret (i.e. guess) at the meaning of any scripture. Outside iof a few verses, anything I could offer would be guess.

Jesus Christ fulfilled the Law, we benefit from God's grace because of Jesus Christ's accomplishments.

' “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.'
Matthew 5:17

The Law was written to keep man in a redeemable state until Christ came to fulfill the Law.

'For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. '
Romans 10:4
  ~ Paul the Lord's Apostle

All of these verses tie in together to emphasize that key point.

(Footnote: Or goal.) Christ is the telos (end/goal/culmination) of the Law with respect to righteousness, not the Law itself.

'So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian,' ...
Galatians 3:24-25

In KJV, guardian is translated as schoolmaster - I'll have to research it but I believe it is the better descriptor.

'To those outside the law I became as one outside the law (not being outside the law of God but under the law of Christ) that I might win those outside the law. '
1 Corinthians 9:21
  ~ Paul the Lord's Apostle

Paul knew how to relate to people.

'One of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.” '
Matthew 22:35-40
~ Jesus, Son of Man Son of God

By this time, there were about 900 laws that the children of Israel were burdened with (which started with just 10 commandments). Jesus Christ brilliantly summed up all of those laws into just two commandments.

Remember, His yoke is easy and His burden is light... some ignorant men might want to put a yoke on you that is not the Lord's.
Christ is our yokefellow (true companion or partner in the work).  Test all things, hold on to what is good.

This is a great paradox! By adhering to God's Word (perceived by the natural man as a burden) we actually attain tremendous freedom!

  ~ John the Lord's Apostle

Jesus Christ fulfilled the Law, we benefit from God's grace because of Jesus Christ's accomplishments.

' “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.'
Matthew 5:17

~ Jesus, Son of Man Son of God

  ~ Paul the Lord's Apostle

Thank you for your engagement, I have a lot to learn about the things of God.

As do we all. As do we all.

What I long for is daily communion with Him, the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank God for His Holy Spirit.

Galatians 3:28 NASB1995
[28] There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

The gift (charis) of God, who can recieve it? Do we recieve the gift of our salvation by faith or is it attained by our good works, deeds or intentions? Salvation is a free gift. How do you recieve any gift? How do you receive anything from God?

I called on the name of the Lord and He rescued me. Jesus saves!

The revelation of the cross. Jesus personally died for my sin, was buried and rose again on the third day. His shed blood was for forgiveness of sins once and for all. Now, is that enough or is my relationship/fellowship with God based on my performance. When I do sin (I hate sin); thank God, He has given us an advocate in His Son Jesus Christ. That relationship/ fellowship with God is only through Him (the Lord Jesus Christ). We are to grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord and walk out (daily taking up our cross) our own salvation in Him. He gives us new Life. Christ in you, the hope of glory.

1 John 1:9 NASB1995
[9] If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 2:1-2 NASB1995
[1] My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; [2] and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.

He did it. Jesus died for my sin. I received His forgiveness by faith. Thank you Lord for your unspeakable gift of salvation.

2 Corinthians 9:15 NASB1995

Romans 6:23 NASB1995
[23] For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God gives freely; He demonstrates His own love towards us...

Romans 5:8 NASB1995
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
https://bible.com/bible/100/rom.5.8.NASB1995

Yes, Christ died for sinners. I trust Him.

Ephesians 2:8-9 NASB1995
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; [9] not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Ephesians 2:11-16 NASB1995
[11] Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “Uncircumcision” by the so-called “Circumcision,” which is performed in the flesh by human hands— [12] remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. [13] But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. [14] For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, [15] by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, [16] and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity.

Mostly because it’s not true.

@Bishop3

How can I tell if I am obeying what Jesus said to do.  If you read the threads you, and others, post one would believe you need a doctorate in theology and ME history to understand the Bible.  I do read quite a few of your posts trying to figure them out.  And it is in those that I see even the most learned here do not agree with many biblical ideas.  So, how is an ignorant layman such as my self supposed to find salvation if those talking about salvation cannot always agree on the path.
