I’ve always liked the look of the newer seamaster 300m and have debated which color I like most since its release.  Recently I thought about the planet ocean. Now I’m not sure which one I like more.  Which variant do you like most and why?

This is my nicest watch. Just got into watches and bought this one used. I checked the serial number online and depending on which site you look at it’s actually a birth year watch (1985/1986), which I didn’t know till I bought it.

I confess I am a fan of the Seamaster.  I bought mine years ago and rarely wear it since I retired.  usually wearing a golf GPS watch or nothing now.  But for events at the club it still gets the occasional wear and actually be set to the current time and date.  Mine is rose gold and titanium.

This one. The PO is just too tall for my liking and pushing the limits of my wrist at 43.5mm.

My OSMP was my first nice watch and it's my personal favorite, but I gotta say the new white wave dial is spectacular.

Interesting, it seems like the 2254.50 is fairly popular.  Personally I’m not a fan of this style but it does seem like the lume one the hands and indices would be more visible than the 300m professional, which was one reason I was considering the planet ocean.  It also has crown guards, which the planet ocean doesn’t have.  I can see why it’s popular.. makes my decision harder..

I've gone round and round on the POs, probably should have bought one years ago. But, the broad arrow hands don't do it for me and the POs keep getting taller and taller.

The 2254.50 could only be better in my book if it didn't have the date; solid sword hands, big T indices, and the profile is about the most comfortable watch I've worn. I actually have two, one I wear and a backup NIB.

The classic SM300s are great as well. I picked up one of the MkII homages awhile back and it gets a fair bit of wrist time too.

There are many like it but this one is mine. Still like the size and scheme. Usually switch to nato/Zulu in the summer just to mix it up

This man speaks the truth.

I would love to see Omega re-release a version of this.  I would get a no-date version.

Yep.

Only gets worn with formal wear these days. Also have the blue dial sword hands SMP, but a G-Shock is my daily.

I'm not a fan of Omega but do like the Speedmaster and for a Seamaster, the no date 300.

Might be the closest you will get from Omega, got MoD approval for the use of broadarrow

I just couldn’t go for that.

Certina, Bulova, Doxa, Seiko, kong tiki, etc, have all done releases of their classic divers in versions ranging from almost perfectly true to pretty close to the originals.

I don’t think Omega quite grasps how popular it would be.

I have definitely considered it.

As I have the 233.30.41.21.01.001 and 234.10.39.20.01.001.

But then I look at this.

And can’t do it

The 57’ tribute followed by any of the heritage models.  Certainly none of the pros.  The escape valve is horridly designed IMO.
