I like the Spartan Difensa. Though I don’t like the finger hump. But, it’s what I have.

I have a Skallywag Tactical DuClaw on my plate carrier. Sharp enough to cut or stab, chunky enough to pry.
Dedicated folding knife would probably be my Zero Tolerance 301. |
|
Multitools are considered pocket knives?
Going with a gerber strongarm and gerber 06 auto |

GB or Wetterlings small forest axe
And something along the lines of a BK16, Mora HD Companion, Old Hickory Trapper, Kephart. Something about 4", drop point, puukko or saber ground, 1095, full tang. Anything like that. If I'm carrying a multitool type implement, I want it to be able to cut through heavy chain link fence. Small bolt cutters and a flat bar would probably be more useful in such a scenario than a multitool, as I've not found one capable of doing that reliably. I thought the SOG power pliers were it....until I broke them. If it must be a sheath and pocket knife, probably a BK machaxe or Condor Kukri and Benchmade Pinnacle. |

Had a leatherman wave through both of my Iraq deployments...would likely use that again....and then probably my Bark River Bravo-1LT

I have several ESSE4s and an ESSE 5. So one of those and my Leatherman MUTT tool.
Needing to cut chain link or breech doors and etc is a section / squad task. Someone in the small unit would carry bolt cutters or a halogen tool but may not be the one actually doing the breaching. |
|
Yep. Sticking with the kbar. |

Eickhorn B2005 Bayonet
Benchmade 5000SBK Auto Presidio If we're talking about a combat knife to use in my hand exclusively it'd be my SOG SEAL 2000 (Seki production) but nobody actually does that, nor would they in your WWIII scenario. It's so rare I'd just use my bayonet if I can only pick 2. Knives are mostly just unnecessary weight for infantrymen, but if I'm going to carry a large knife it might as well be a bayonet. If multi-tools are counting as pocketknives then I would bring a multi-tool and the fully automatic folder and forego the bayonet entirely. |

Ka-bar Mark 1 leather handle. And spyderco native 5 salt in magnacut

Something that will hold a good edge, plus ease of sharpening. No super steels as most would just fuck them up trying to sharpen them and I don't want to carry extra equipment. So Something in D2 or 1095 and a Lansky Blade Medic https://www.amazon.com/Lansky-3143-PS-MED01-BladeMedic/dp/B0085PPSIQ to sharpen it.
Pocket knife or multitool, probably a multitool because you could do more with it. Most come with a small blade, couple different screw drivers... |
|
I picked up a Toor Knives Krypteia which I've been carrying for just over a month know. I like this knife a lot.

@Mk-211
I bought my SOG in 1994 at the PX at Camp Lejeune. Now my son has it at Camp Lejeune. |
|
From blades I own I'd either go with a kabar extreme d2 or a fallkniven s1 paired with probably my pm2 in maxamet
|

I’ve got a couple of tough ones by Winkler. They are good to ride the river with. Randal, too.

I would go with my Leatherman P4 and Busse Team Gemini Light Brigade.

If it's doube yuh double yuh three and I'm down to a piece of sharp metal shit is pretty sideways.

My military time was probably the time I carried a knife the least, all I ever had was a cheap three blade stockman.
|
|

ZT9 bayonet or a custom full tang bayonet with high end steel and Leatherman MUT.
|
|
Quoted: SRK Compact in an aftermarket sheath. I like Alox SAKs versus the plastic ones (have had several get loose) but tweezers would be handy to have for splinters. I suppose a multitool could do the job. Bonus 'knife' is the Cold Steel Viking Battle Axe I just bought. https://th.bing.com/th/id/R.5673249d69fda75a22cf9d34519a7f5c?rik=tW99KgAB%2bJLb9w&pid=ImgRaw&r=0 View Quote Tweezers boy? Folder would have a spork on it.
Fixed woulf be the kabar i have. |
