You know the stuff the trashyist of white trash would drink

I've seen it in vintage pictures and such but I could never make it out

It's a white can with a blue dot on it and thin red stripes

Whatever that was I believe the modern equivalent to it has been replaced with white claws.

Sorry to rustle the feathers of beer enthusiasts but well I grew up in a whiskey and bourbon house, Hell I don't think I've seen my dad have a beer in my life, Last time he probably did was in college.

On a side note the pictures in question are of my exstended family from back in the day, They are just as trash now as they were back then,  not much has changed save for newer vehicles and smartphones.

Pabst Blue Ribbon?

That's actually made a comeback amongst the hipsters.

Sounds like it, but far from being gone, it's had quite a resurgence amongst hipsters.

Schlitz?

That was a staple beer around my family gatherings in the 80's. Probably the first beer I ever tasted as a kid.

Pabst isn't gone. It actually had a surge in popularity not to long ago with the hipsters. Right about the same time trucker hats made a comeback. Pretending to be white trash is hip but guys like me have been doing it for life.

To this day it's still one of top 3 cheap domestics.

Schlitz

Mich is gone from my area.  That was a beer I used to regularly buy.  You can get Mich Gold Draft/Lite still.  I picked some up 2 weeks ago.

Lowenbrau is gone AFAIK.

Hamm's is still being produced as is Grain Belt - by Schell's Brewery now.

PBR isn't bad at all when compared to Bud, Coors, etc.  The only one that is awful if fucking Miller.

This does prove, since OP never sees it, that PBR is the most heterosexual mainstream beer.

I'd bring a 30 pack to parties.  People for the most part wouldn't touch it even when the all of the other beer was gone and those foolish enough to grab one would take less than a sip and leave it for me to find nearby later. i.e. I never ran out of beer at the party.

PBR is very much alive and well in my area.  As is Coors Banquet.  Lesser degree you'll see Schlitz and Hamm's, but they aren't prevalent nor drank much.

Imagine being from Iowa and not knowing about cheap beer.

Hamm's and PBR are two of my cheap working-on-stuff beers.
