Attached File I’m building this for a buddy whose grandfather drove these back in the day. It’s the 1/9 scale from Italeri. It’s a pretty complex build with lots of fitting/sanding. For guy who normally builds Tamiya aircraft, it’s slow going. It’ll look cool when it’s done though. And I’m happy to do it for him. It’ll look something like this when I’m finished. Attached File |

Bought a mini "electromagnetic accelerator cannon". Shoots a 32.2grn steel "slug" that is .235" od x .390" long. Don't know how fast yet because I have not figured out how to get my Magneto Speed to read them. My garage is about 50' from the house and the slugs hit it hard. I'm establishing my new station in our "spacious" master bedroom. A computer screen for paint detail research/ walk around viewing, and work surface for the models which will also be the gun bench. Also, I'm gonna see how the little fold-out Spray booth with window vent hose- from Amazon will go-over with (Mrs Crabby-USA version). As for the plastic: A Hind-?? Pre-D but not A ,1/48 A revell 1/32 UH-1h air america A panda 1/32 UH-1H A 1/72 Foxbat, T-37, Storch a 1/48 Hueyhog A 1/32 revell cayuse 1/72 F4-C And a few new boxes "on deck". ( I guess "on deck" could also mean: "the box art -eye candy" is always in eyesight instead of on storage shelf in garage"? I also have an old Hobbyinc? RC Avistar 60"? That I'm converting to electric motor, and really wanting to mock it up with Pilatus P-6 - Air America mods. Namely: the square looking tail section, wing struts, gear, long pilatussy nose and of course the silver, blue paint scheme. |

Main reason I bought them to begin with. |

This was my maiden flight of my big Fokker D7 this past Saturday. Fantastic flying plane and capable of all sorts of 3D stunts the way I have It powered. I don't confess to be much of a 3D pilot but will pull off a few wicked maneuvers at high altitude once I get my CG dialed in a little better. She's still a tad bit tail heavy and for this flight I stuck a lipo on top of my gas tank as far forward as possible to just safely get in a maiden. It's a difficult task taking to cowl back off to add more lead up front. It was a bitch to get to land as is and took 5 tries but finally came back in one piece! Another one just finished up. Waiting on the right size prop to show up after realizing in the box of nearly 400 new spare props a 15x6 or 7 ain’t in there. Last year i went to an out of town fly-in in Millington Tn just outside of Memphis. After a great flight I decided to make a great scale landing approach only to discover the trees on the left end of their runway are closer than I thought and put what I considered my most beautiful plane right into the top of a tree. Luckily it somehow made it to the ground where I could at least recover the electric parts. Ordered another immediately after getting home and snagged the only one in stock at the time. Just now getting around to building the replacement. Stinson Reliants and Cessna 195s to me are gorgeous aircraft and I drool when I see a line of the taxying in on Oshkosh videos. Attached File |

Just deciding to get back in the hobby I’m having a hard time telling myself I don’t need that great deal on a used engine, kit, etc. I have hoarding tendencies and got carried away over the past 30 years with plastic model kits. I now see there is no light at the end of the tunnel with them, so I’m starting to sell off. And in less than a years time I have acquired the following RC gear: NX8+ TX 2 receivers, servos for a framed up kit. Ace 4-20 I’ve completed framing up. Almost ready to cover. My reintroduction to glow flight plane. Coverite Peashooter My next build as my step up advanced trainer. Sig Smith Mini Plane kit. NIB Sig Liberty Sport kit, NIB Balsa USA 1/4 scale cub. Will build as Hazel Sig’s clipped wing Cub Set of floats for a Goldberg Cub. Need a kit now. Got scammed on line trying to buy one. Secured a deal for a Great Planes 90/120 Sportster kit. Guy is in Korea now, will be back in November Bought a set of Robart struts for a Ziroli Stearman that I want to build one day. Snagged them now because OOP. Saito .30, .56, .82, 180, 220 OS FT-160, 120 Surpass And last week I bought a foam backyard 3D flyer so I can jump in sooner than later. It’s now built, I just need to set up the servos and dial in the TX for the airplane. Yes, putting all of this down in print lets me see how ridiculous I’m being again with my hoarding habits. |

| I have about a dozen helis of different sizes from the tiny XK110 up to three 450 sized. I can only fly in safe or 6g mode and not great even at that. That is fine with me however since scale flying is my preference and most of mine have been converted to scale looking helicopters especially by using Microheli bodies and rotorheads and blades. We have several absolutely wicked heli pilots in our club though and those monster 700 up helis scare the shit out of me when I think about something possibly going out of control. Not much to hide under out there. |

I was recently having a problem with my rotorhead on my TB40 causing serious vibration issues and I could see the mainshaft and swashplate wobbling left/right looking down the boom from the tail. Main shaft and feathering shaft were brand new. Changed out the main gear which needed it anyways but wobble was still there. Changed out the main bearing block with new bearings and sleeve, still there. Noticed the bearing was loose in the 3rd block so changed that out and still having the issue. So Im about ready to set this fuckin thing on fire when I say fuck it let's try new blade grips. Sure enough if that didn't fix her right up 😆 😂 Took her for a quick test flight and vibration is gone and she's flying like a champ. These Helis can really be frustrating at times but still a joy when they fuckin work right Attached File |

I took it up today and it has the shakes. Gotta figure it out. According to the FBL (Spirit GT) it is only on the roll axis, which is consistent with what I saw (left/right wobble, tail boom seemed to stay pretty well fixed in space). Odd that it's only left/right, makes me feel it's more cyclic gain VS mechanical. |

Driving my Kyosho Sand Master 2.0 around in the leaves on the front lawn yesterday, started noticing a little clicking sound. Ok, plastic pinion gear, probably wearing out finally. Nope. One of the two counter gears, the 2nd one, that meshes with the diff gear, has a couple of teeth busted on it. And, you can't just buy the gears, you have to buy the entire gearbox. Not that expensive, but just annoying. At least I had another $5 discount at AMain. So that's what's occupying space on the bench until the parts come in maybe this week, maybe next. I even looked around to see if someone designed a gear I could print. Nope. I don't have the CAD skills to do it myself. At least, not yet. |

This little thing turned out to be a rocket. Attached File I've got props coming that should give me another 20mph or so, I'm guessing 140ish  ETA: I'm using differential thrust on the wing. It spins insanely fast... friend got it on a quad camera (you need to watch full screen to see it). I'm about to do something that will make it spin even faster  A buddy and I were doing simulated aerial refueling with a Flite Test Guinea Pig and a foamboard combat jet (Rafale, I'm flying that one) and it went pretty well. So, I just started building a much larger foamboard box-scale C-130 for the refueler so I can fly a larger FPV EDF to "refuel". Attached File It'll use the same construction as the Guinea Pig, but will look different and have dual refueling drogues. I also just ordered parts for multiple projects. Foamboard Pond Racer, two more 3D printed wings (one with 4 motors), 2 3D printed pylon planes, and a few other silly things |

Okay, today I set up my portable “woodworkers shop” and knocked this out. It’s only been on my “to-do” list for two years now. But it’s one of those gigantic wine bottles I picked up off eBay for decoration. My luck, it was a local seller. Damned thing came full of old skunked wine I dumped into the ditch in front of my house. Front yard stunk like bad vinegar for weeks. Now tomorrow I’m going to “light it up”. Well, if I successfully drill the 1/2” hole in the bottom of it. I have a high ledge that separates the kitchen from the family room. It’s going to sit up on top of the ledge (I’m not stupid, I’m going to run screws through it) but inside the bottle I’ll have those tiny twinkle lights. There’s going to be an old vintage type twisted power cord coming out of the bottles opening and hanging down 4 or 5 feet with a very large Edison bulb at the end of it. Wrapped around the vintage cord will be more of the tiny lights leading to the bulb. Attached File Once it’s done I’ll follow up with a pic. |
