My family really spoiled me this year.
My wife got me the DJI FPV w/Fly More combo. Attached File My oldest daughter (6) got me an Align T-Rex 150X to keep my 450 company. Attached File And my youngest daughter (3) got me upgrades for my Rustler 4x4 VXL. DBoots Hoons tires (2 are arriving late), full RPM suspension, 17mm Hex conversion from MIP, and MIP CVDs for the front (already had the back). She also picked up two batteries for my 450 but I may repurpose them for the FPV Goggles. Haven't decided yet. Attached File |

Socks, some kitchen utensils, but my big gift is on back order, Pixel Buds A.
I think I'm supposed to get kettlebells but they are running late too. Might get them for my birthday, January 6. |

I got an Arrma Granite BLX 3s and Typhon mega.
I used to be big into rc planes. Sold most about 10 years ago but got a Horizon Hobby super cub last year. Only had the chance to fly it once with my work schedule and kids, so I got back into rc cars. Last year i got an ECX Torment 1:10 2wd as a starter truck to see if it was something I enjoyed. I really like them, had an Ofna ultra GTP as a teenager but never got the nitro to run reliably. Burned out the brushed motor in the ECX a few days ago, I was going to convert to brushless and do a full rpm suspension upgrade on the ECX but after driving the Arrma trucks I’m just going to replace the burned out motor and focus on the Arrma trucks. I only have a hobbytown local to me so I was looking there but found the Arrma store on Amazon runs sales that even horizon hobby doesn’t. The Typhon Mega was only $204 and the Granite BLX 3s was only $295. Instead of dropping $300 into my ECX torment I will probably buy the Arrma Senton BLX, on Amazon it’s only $319. It’s a 4wd brushless short course truck, much like the Torment but that is only 2wd. |

My brother got me a DJI mini se drone. This is my first drone, so far I love it. Can't wait to start taking pictures with it.

4 boxes of Clay targets and two bags of shot. My current hobby is reloading shot shells.

View Quote Ah looks like a slightly watered down Mini 2, almost like they took some features of the 2 and some from the 1 and blended it into a 1.5 basically. 4 km range vs 10, 2.7k vs 4k camera. He got the drone, 3 batts, charger, and carrying case for $570. |

Just a 6s 5000mah 100C Lipo battery. My wife says I buy enough of my own shit all year so she got the battery so the kids had something to give me on Christmas.

View Quote Sure thing, I can do that, as these are the 42/100s.. I don't get the other two until tomorrow but I'll snap a pic. They are a little small but should work well for running on the street. I was tired of the stock tires blowing out at speed. I must have a hobby shop with bad batch parts or something as I went through 8 tires and 8 driveshafts in no time flat and you didn't seem to have problems. My MIP CVDs have been holding up well. |

I have to get my own hobby stuff, no gifts, unless you count ones you buy for yourself
So I bought a Marklin HO UP 844 steam engine, and three limited edition freight cars. Should arrive early next week. |

Got a Tekno ET48 2.0 to work on over my Christmas vacation the 2.0 was great to build up but the design of their truggy body is just hideous.

Wife found me a tamiya Ford escort MKII rally for standard non scalp price.
They are pretty rare in the USA since tamiya has not officially released them here yet. Puts me at around 20 tamiya cars I have other RC stuff also lots of traxxas and hydrolic construction RC stuff. Like guns it's additive and expensive Ya did good with the rpm upgrades OP they are damn near bomb proof upgrades. Its what I go with on my MERV and REVO 2.0 when i break something. I've yet to break a trx4 we have tqo of those and my son is either full throttle or stopped and he can't break em. For the money traxxas is the best buy for rtr . |

Had 22 cars, 3 airplanes and a heli back then. Now it is 3 cars, 2 drones, and two helis. It's a slower process now that I have a family to support. |

Nothing for the garage, but she got me a Vortex Crossfire II Hog Hunter scope and I got my first deer of my life with it a couple weeks ago. I unwrapped an empty box on Christmas day.

I bought the stuff to build a big CNC router. I am already kinda regretting it, lol. Plan on doing some wood work stuff and cutting some molds/parts for r/c airplanes.
Also picked up an old EPP slope plane kit. I almost felt bad, paid about 60% of what it was worth. |

Quoted: What are you building? X/Y/Z travels? What drive means? Lead screw, belts, rack and pinion? I am ALMOST ready to build a 2nd CNC router to address some of the issues I dont like with my current machine. But if I were to go full stupid I am also tempted to just go Tormach and have option for 4th axis in the future. The whole .005 to .02 inch depth of cut nonsense is getting tiring when looking to machine anything more than .250 thickness. Would be nice to do full depth tool passes but machine rigidity combined with router speed cause me too many issues with chip thining and tool rub. With some more experimentation I might be able to lock it down but every time I lose a step or snap a tool it is a giant frustration to get setup again. Some day I am gonna join ProvenCut. Just spent the past few days turning out aluminum parts for my 66 mustang from my CNC router. Started off using it to cut CF frames while I learned fixturing and feeds and speeds. Most folks do the painters tape and CA glue trick to hold their CF plates to the spoil board. I didnt want to deal with CF dust so I built a table that lets me submerge my work under water where all carbon fiber dust is washed into a filtration system. Works pretty damn well for thick carbon plate. Smaller thickness like 1.5mm carbon can flex a bit and needs to be addressed to some degree but entirely possible to get good functional parts. Once I started running aluminum things have gotten really fun. Some things decorative and some things functional like engine accesory brackets or custom billet tubing clamps. Started doing rotations of a part using soft jaws for A,B,C,D setups that approximate a 4th axis part. Thing holding me back right now is the damn T-slot fixturing plate and how MillRight designed it for the Mega V. Causes some tram and runn out issues while eating into my available Z height when using vises. Ideal setup for me would be a massive machined fixture plate from Saunders Machine works that will allow zero flex while giving me excellent options to use their Mod vises. I can use the ModVise as it is now which really helped me gain some precision in setting up and making parts that helped my feeds&speeds. Holding tolerances to around .002-.005 depending on how aggressive I get and whether I am doing remaining stock operations with lots of tool changes. Running .250 O-flute down to 1/32 end mills. At some point I want to play with thread milling followed by maybe chasing with a final manual tap. Shifter bezel I made that is .75 in plate, carbon fiber inser, machined aluminum Terlingua inset with epoxy infil. Imgur wont let me upload from my phone anymore. Been working on some pieces with imbedded LEDs for back lighting through epoxy. Experimenting before I make my own tail lights for the 66 that will have an epoxy pour for lense material with high pearl flake content to bounce the LED lighting when lit up. https://i.imgur.com/MCEWe6K.jpg View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: I bought the stuff to build a big CNC router. If I switch to MIP on the rear I gotta buy the 17mm conversion also since the traxxas one won't work, so I'd be in for like $100. If I gotta replace one part every 5 months or so I can live with that. I do like how MIP specifically states the axles are good for 4S.
