I could never afford one, but I look forward to seeing Cybertrucks on the road. My 80s vision of the future realized.

I kinda want one of the new broncos but I am going to wait a year or so till they work all the bugs out. I made the mistake of buying a first year model of a new design .....never again.

If Honda were to re-release the Element, and it was substantially the same as the originals, we would probably buy two of them.

Cybertruck has my interest. Maybe an Emira. Outside of that not much.

used new broncos after ford sorts out the issues and the fucking covid drama pricing dies down. so possibly never.

I would love a 300+ hp Japanese sedan.
Camry’s are ugly. I would love it if they redesigned it took like a Honda. |

I want a new, 3/4-ton SUV. Something that can seat 7-8 comfortably, and tow 10k lbs.
|
|
in 2-3 years ill be looking at 3-4 year old 4runners or GX460s. Does that count?
|
|
I have the Cybertruck and Lightning pre-ordered.
Will probably trade up for a Raptor R if it's as good as I hope, though. |

The real question is, what current vehicles are you buying now before they all go EV and turn to shit.

Of stuff that is actually in the works, the straight 6, Mazda CX9.

The next gen Audi RS3 looks like a real fun time. Likely to be the last gen with the iconic 5 cylinder. Not sure if I want to afford the Audi tax especially when it comes to maintenance though.

The Tesla Roadster.
I wish they would get on with it. If they come out and say it is going to be several more years, I am going to get a UGR TT Huracan. |

An electric off-road vehicle with 4 wheel independent drive, with a 400 mile range that can be charged in 5 minutes.

I guess one of the last year production challenger wide body RT's with manual transmission and 392. Will probably be out of my price range by then so perhaps a used one.

Everything I'm currently interested in is a future vehicle because none of them are available

I’m mildly interested in the rumored hybrid Mustang GT.
V8 for the rear wheels and an electric motor for the front. |

I think the cyber truck is super cool. I could care less about it being electric I just think it looks awesome!

Well, first off I am more likely to be buying a classic vehicle before a future vehicle...
I am keeping up with electric vehicles. If I build my new house, I will design it to be largely solar - so I will be very tempted to have an electric vehicle that can charge during the day and can be used as a backup power source if necessary (or economic). I will have a whole house generator - but generators are generally more efficient when driven at full rating. As such, I would love to be able to load the generator with the car battery, then turn it off for hours and run the house off the car. I don't really like the idea of generating excess solar in the day and selling it back, only to repurchase it at night and pay a transmission fee. The other thing I am keeping up with is self driving cars. I have 2 vacation properties - it would be nice to relax on the drives to them. I would probably get more use out of them if I had a self driving car. That said, I don't see a self driving car that could get me, my dogs, and a boat to them-not to mention my family. So it is a fairly long way off. I don't see a good substitute for an F250 diesel anytime soon. My F250 can carry 4 dogs in crates in the bed, my family of 5 in the cab - and still tow any toys I want to get to the water. While it will not solve everything - the VW Buzz is on my watch list. It might come close if it has enough luggage room for the dog crates - but even our current minivan could only do it if I built custom crates for the back-and then I would need to store clothes, supplies, and toys at the vacation rental - not optimal. --- Given the distances to my vacation properties - I also enjoy keeping track of flying vehicles - but nothing imagined comes close yet. |

I am waiting for the Metacycle release.

A Jeep Wrangler unlimited with a full time 4WD and 5.7L Hemi
Or a Coyote 5.0 Bronco Or a V8/updated drivetrain 4Runner |

as I see it the trends in autos are farther away from anything that is remotely interesting.
Next vehicle, I'll be looking at something older. would like something simple and reliable unfortunately nothing like that is available in the states. |
