Traffic blows everywhere unless you live in BFE. Homeless/libs/illegals everywhere in any major city. Expensive if you don't work there as the pay is much higher. Can't carry I am not sure. I thought you get permits now. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

There are certainly redeeming qualities of LA- I'm not arguing there. It's just weird for you to not understand why people might hate it if you spent so much time there. I wouldn't put it in the worst 5, but I still don't like it and avoid it whenever possible. |

Quoted: Traffic is even worse in LA than anywhere but maybe DC or the Bay area. Homelessness is worse there than in quite a few other cities. I work in SoCal so my pay is okay, but LA is still very expensive if you look at rent/mortgage vs take home pay. No, you can't get permits in LA county. Again, I think it's just strange you don't see why people would hate LA. |

Quoted: Favorite 5? I'm not a huge city guy but if I had to choose 5 American cities to spend a weekend in...I'd probably choose NYC (Manhattan), San Diego, maybe DC just for the historical stuff.... there's 3. That's all I really got as far as standouts. If we add foreign cities I'd have different answers. Again, I think it's just strange you don't see why people would hate LA. View Quote |

Hard to believe no one has brought up Birmingham, Alabama yet.

Hmmm...I see my city makes a lot of lists!
Pittsburgh Camden Newark, NJ Atlanta New York Baltimore |

Grading system should be, piles of crap on sidewalks divided by number of needles per block.
San Francisco New York Seattle Detroit Baltimore |
|
Of places I’ve actually been:
1. Detroit 2. St. Louis 3. Birmingham 4. Gary, Indiana 5. Cities that may have some redeeming qualities, I just don’t like them: 1. NYC 2. Houston 3. San Francisco 4. Seattle 5. Denver |
|

San Francisco takes first place, that's for sure. Sounds like Seattle is a close second now. NYC and DC would take second and third, in no particular order. Flint probably takes fifth, just because of the water.
The thing about places like Detroit is that they have redeeming qualities. Places like SF and Seattle are just straight up liberal shitholes with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. |

Quoted: I was there in...2015 I guess. It was cool. The bridge is beautiful. The cable car museum is really neat, as is the whole cable car system. Great food. Great time for a long weekend. I didn't see Alcatraz, but I imagine it's pretty cool as well. There's a lot to see and do there. View Quote |

For me
1. San Francisco 2. Berkeley 3. Los Angeles 4. Portland Oregon 5. Seattle |

Yeah, but having to do it with a bum's turd squished into the tread of your shoes kills the vibe. 100% dead. There is no redemption from that. Ever. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

We should probably just go 1-5 in order of population. But then we'd leave out turds like DC, Baltimore, and Detroit.
And don't forget Camden, NJ. The worst place you've never heard of. |

That I've been to?
1. Flint 2. Chicago 3. San Francisco 4. Longmont, CO 5. Memphis Shitholes, all of them. |
