Depends on the definition of "oddball", I suppose. If you consider anything outside of ARs and striker-fired plastic fantastics, then most of my collection is "oddball".

If you're asking for things I think are oddball, here are a few.

French-service MAS-49. There are maybe 300 of these in the U.S., and very few survive outside of those 300 worldwide.

Irish-service SMLE Mk. I***. This was one of a batch of a few thousand Mk. I*** rifles given to the pro-treaty Irish forces in 1922 or 1923. They saw service in the Irish civil war and can occasionally be seen in pictures from that time. They were all reconditioned before being provided to the Irish, and due to a shortage of Mk. I rear sights (which were long obsolete) some of them, like mine, were fitted with Mk. III rear sights instead.

Arex ReX Zero 1S. Kind of an obscure Slovenian pistol; it is a mishmash of Zastava CZ99 and SIG P226. Has both a safety and a decocker.

Springfield Hellion/HS Produkt VHS-2. Needs no description, really.

I have a regular Rough Rider, and I had no idea those existed. I'm not a fan of the look of that stock, I understand why they did it because of the whole NFA pistol stock nonsense. But they should have made it a semi-pistol grip stock to at least somewhat emulate the originals.

I would be afraid I'd forget about the cylinder gap and put my hand there.

I'm fairly certain my company had one in .25acp. We used it to function check the walk-through metal detectors, you would stuff it inside your waistband or boot or what not at specific heights according to procedure and try to pass through without an alarm. They removed the firing pin so that it was non-functional, but it still felt weird using an actual gun to test it. We use "simulated guns" now which are plastic blocks with some metal inside that is in the vague shape of a gun.

ETA- It also could have been a Jetfire, it was a tiny Beretta .25 of some sort

Astra 600, nice. I've got a 400 in Largo. That recoil spring is serious business!

I have an AR upper in .22 TCM.  Is guess that’s more of an oddball caliber rather than an oddball firearm.

I have an old Iver Johnson Arms and Cycle Works break-top revolver in .38 S&W.

Most of my collection is rare unique oddballs. What's fun about collecting stuff every one else has?

A couple of my guns are one of less than 5 in the USA.

I love oddballs.  I’d like most of my collection to be that.

But my budget relegates me to just unique rather than the true oddballs.

M38 carcano with original KNIFE folding bayonet, old vetterlis.  Etc.

I’d like to nab a M1941 Johnson but can’t round up the cash yet.

I was thinking that, but pretty much everything I have was mainstream whenever it was made and those were too.  Zastava still makes a 9mm toke.

I Owned a Gwinn Bushmaster assault rifle with both lower receivers, one with a fixed stock and one with a folding stock. I traded a mini 14 for it when I was a kid because the guy who owned the Bushmaster wanted to have a scope on his rifle and there was no mount available. I stupidly sold it at a gun show.

Wz.88 is pretty odd. The Polish decided they wanted a 5.45x39 AK but fuck the AK74. It uses a lot of odd for parts for a 5.45. It has an AKM rear trunnion, it's own selector and a 3 way burst switch on the other side, front rivets are AKM pattern, it has it's own oddball handguard retainer, it's own gas block and FSB and the muzzle device is threaded into the barrel instead of the FSB.

This is my first gun that most people haven't heard of. It's a Marlin 990 which was released for a short time in the 80's It's an upscale Marlin 60 with a checkered stock and an 18rd tube magazine with a 22" barrel. It's also supposed to have a front sight hood that fell off years ago

@elcope Isn’t the barrel shroud and bipod on the STG 57 usually mounted the other way with the bipod deploying just in front of the handguard?

I just finished a DPM. I'm starting a VZ58. I have a PM63 in line to be built and I'm making reweld jigs for it.

Got a Marlin model 50. Last I heard the estimate is 500 left world wide and that was years ago. It's a fun little open bolt.

Not sure what else I have that I remotely consider unique.
