Just found a sleeve of 5k CCI 41 primers. Forgot all about them.
What’s an honest price for these nowadays? I’m not going to sell them but was thinking of trading fir some .308 to feed my new PSA. |

Depends how bad you want to scalp someone
6-8 CP would be pretty fair right now |
|
[#2]
I'm paying about $40 per box right now if I can find them. I won't pay any more than that.
|
|
[#4]
You can easily sell primers for $150/1000 right now locally. People will be happy to pay it when ammo is $0.60/rd+ for pretty much any reloadable caliber.

Yeah Ive seen them going for $150 / 1k on the EE and other places and they are moving at that price...its nuts.

$0.11 a primer months ago (no, I didn't buy them, this was a similar discussion with someone). I bet they are going for even more now. I'd start them at $0.25 a primer and see if you get a bite. Maybe let someone talk you down to $0.20 a primer.

I’m revising my original price. $.40 a primer.
I have excess CCI#34 primers. I may flip a few K. |

I’m going to wait until this summer and dump about 35,000 Federal SPP’s at ridiculous prices.

I bought 1k Federal Large Rifle Primers a couple hours ago at the LGS for $44.

I’ve been looking at prices in gun broker for the last two weeks. Shit 556 had bids at $1.38 a round. Primers have gone for $.33 each. No reason to think it will go down this week.

What's powder selling for and the best way to sell it without shipping?
|
|
[#21]
I just sold 1000 small rifle and 2000 large rifle of excess inventory from my personal stash for $190/thou + $70 shipping. I wouldn't sell any more that low. Things are about to get worse than we ever imagined, and all conservatives are already being systematically silenced.

I just sold 5000 CCI 41 primers for $400. I wasn't interested in gouging anyone too bad. No way I'm asking $750 for a case (5000) of 41's.
|

[#23]
If you use gunbroker I’m seeing 1k going for at least min $300. If you sell in batches of 500 you will maximize profit to you. Seeing in some cases of well over $200 for 500. CCI seems to get the best prices. Oh and screw all the people saying your gouging. Nobody s forcing anybody to buy way overpriced COMMODITY.

When they're in stock, 5-6 cents each on the low end. Up to 8.4 cents after shipping and hazmat from some stores. But they're selling out lightening fast.
Locally, $100/1k, or 10 cents each. On gunbroker, people are going nuts. $250/1k plus shipping. I would say fair price these days is that 10 cents each. You can list them for that, and they'll be gone within the hour. Maybe you can start out higher and if the person haggles, let them talk you down to 10 cents. But most guys dont even bother haggling on primers. They see available, they buy them up and dont worry too much about the price. |

View Quote So as long as you are selling for under half the market price - that's not gouging??? But if you sell for the current market price, that is gouging? I'm just trying to understand how people rationalize their ethics here. |

I went into a shop today that I don’t frequent too often as I heard they still had all sorts of stuff. They were selling primers for $20 for 100.
Good thing I don’t need any.... |

Quoted: I went into a shop today that I don’t frequent too often as I heard they still had all sorts of stuff. Sure enough they did and I found out why....price gouging at its finest. $20 for 100 primers. $17.99 a box for Hornady 17 HM2. $20 a box of 5 buckshot. $50 a box of 50 FMJ 9mm. I have put them on the black list and will never darken their door again...... View Quote You would prefer to go shopping and everything have empty shelves? |

No...I edited my post as you can see....I really don’t care what they sell them for as I’m pretty stocked up on the things I need, was just browsing. I’ll be glad to provide you with the name and address so you can go buy some if you wish? |

it’s going to get a lot worse. $200 is fair and it will only go up.
remember when prices come back down at least two election cycles worth is what you need to have on hand. |

My dealer friend went to the Phoenix gun show a couple of weekends ago. He did 125 transfers on gun he sold there, in addition he told me that primers were selling for $25 per 100, with folks running out of them to sell.

I paid $170 shipped for 1k SRP and an $80 Blackhawk bag
$40 hazmat shipping $80 bag =$50 for primers Yeah, it was a high price, but it wasn’t gunbroker high. |

$100-200 a brick around here. Mostly about 150.
I almost drove 3 hours one-way to get 4k from a guy this week. He was asking 100/brick. Ultimately my better judgment got the best of me and I decided it wasn't worth it. Within an hour of Northern VA/DC... they're selling at $0.20 ea. Insanity. |
|
[#37]
I normally only pay around $40 for 1000. I wanted some extra not knowing how long this shit is going to last
I paid $100/k. I figured since I cast my own bullets and have plenty of brass I am around $115/k on 1000 rounds of ammo |

Quoted: You probably could have gotten $1500 for 5000. That’s how much I would have sold them for. Why sell lower than market value? I got one serious buyer willing to drive to my town to pick them up. I had no way to ship them. Weren't they like $230 a case not long ago? |

Jeezus, I knew they were high but holy crap I grabbed about 6k various today for anywhere between $30-$40/1000.
