beyond the tits, ass and political affiliation. No matter who else is in it.  For me it's Bruce Dern,I really know nothing of the guy.  I just like his acting style. He hooked me in his role in The Cowboys. if he is in it,I'm there. I enjoyed his role in Freaks . There's a little known movie filmed in black and white he starred in Nebraska, he was great in that role.
I'm now watching Netflix's Badland. it's stinker but I don't care.

None, and I really don't understand this line of thinking.  Beyond being good enough that bad acting is not a distraction, the actor has nothing to do with the quality of the movie.  That's on the people who are part of the creative process.

I saw he was in that and thought, "it's gotta be better than it sounds."

I got scammed.

None.

If the film sucks I don’t care how much I like the actor(s), I'll do something else.

Bruce Dern's character in The 'Burbs has a fantastic charcter introduction. He's awesome.

Also quite liked him in Support Your Local Gunfighter, with other greats like James Garner, Jake Elam and Walter Brennan.

Bruce Dern is a good answer.

For me it's Patricia Arquette.  I have always had a thing for her.  Something about her just does it for me.

Male: John Malkovich.  He can make any movie creepy/interesting.
