I had a 68 GTO 550hp rear wheels, worked for bar bands, hunted LNAS, Dix and McGuire. lived in the Jersey shore, had ride and die friends, zepplin, the who, the doors
the best time and place to grow up, saw things that many never will, it was amazing |

Lots of action in the 70s. No fear of aids. Lots of great bands like Lead Zep, Stones, Deep Purple. Lotta great guitar players. Ozzy was hot, etc. Making lots of $$ and having fun. Great cars then. 71, still had hot Mopars, Fords, GTOs, 442s, you name it. A great time. Great memories. None of this political correct shit. Not a period of rioting and mass killings.

If I could take my current self (mid 40's, single, plenty of $ (even inflation adjusted) to any era it would probably be the mid '70s...
Just enough technology, still mostly analog, no AIDS, tons of drugs, I like the colors and styles of the era, the cars I like ('60s and older) are cheap and plentiful, I really can't think of anything I like/need from 2021 that I'd miss in 1974... |
