Went to the boy's HS graduation last night. Of course most folks dressed up at least a little.
Most of the boys had on a dress shirt and tie with dress pants and shoes. Evidently, "dressing up" to the girls means a whole nuther thing. Not less than 30% of them would have looked right at home standing on your average hooker street corner on Saturday night. Even my 14yo daughter commented on the lack of appropriateness. |

Went to a HS graduation in a Catholic church yesterday.
Cow in front of me was drinking a Monster, chewing gum, and taking selfies. And she wasn't the only one. LOL I was lost but tried to be respectful and do what the folks that looked like they knew what they were doing did. |

They will all wonder in a few years why any decent man will not marry them and why do all the guys they date treat them like whores.

Yeah I have a teenage son so I'm not seeing a problem with the new female sluttiness.
Not everyone gets to be an astronaut, the world needs pole dancers too. |

Each one of these threads point out to "what is wrong" with society. As simple as appropriate dress for an event, but foreshadowing a much deeper issue of self respect.

Congrats on the son
I imagine your daughter is showing the benifit of her Dad living in the household, 50% of her peers don't have that. |

That's cultural Marxism for you. Nothing is sacred or respected anymore.

I only got pics of the gowned ceremony. They did a good job.
12 seconds for each student. Crowd shouted and clapped for 10 seconds, voluntarily. Then next name read. Next story ties in with that. (Because there are some grad ceremonies where they forbid cheering for certain reasons. Lack of self control being chief among them) Two dads behind me were discussing school sports. One lamented our schools 5-5 record for the past few years in football. Said, "They just seem small on average, when compared to other teams". The other dad says, "Well, we don't have any black kids". First dad, "Well, er, uh. Yeah, I guess that could be it." |

Some are celebrating their entrance into the workforce, military, or college.
Some are celebrating their entrance into the meat market. |

I go to a number of high school graduations every year. It's been like this for at least 10 years. I'm still amazed every year.

Edcucaton sucks, that is why I got tattoo on my ass and become porn actress.

You really want to see inappropriate google Russian prom girls.

At least the kids had clothes. My friends and I went commando under our gowns.
Graduating class of 120 took 4 hours because the parents spent 10 minutes congratulating each Billy Joe Whoever for being the first in his family to graduate and not being a member of the correctional system. If that wasn't bad enough, we had a spring heatwave that year so the school decided to upgrade the air conditioning. That would have been great except the HVAC contractor bungled the project so we didn't have any AC. Four hours in a crowded stadium at 100+ degrees. |

I went to my sons graduation a couple of years ago. I was happy to see Toyota Camry get a diploma. Yes that was the girls name. There was a moment when most of the crowd said in unison Toyota Camry ? Then all of the programs were opened at once.

Congrats to your Son!
The dress trend has been around for a few years. As soon as ten years ago at Daughter #2’s school, someone was asked to change (for being inappropriate)but was allowed to put on a borrowed shawl. |

Young women dress as they do to get the interest of young men (the majority of whom can see better than they can think) and the disapproval of old men. Working, ain’ it?
In the end, it all shakes out just as it has as far back as we have social history. The boys and girls grow up; some get smart, others don’t. And the old men die; some surrounded by loving families, others with their dick in their hand dreaming of their glory days and teenage tits. Life. Let’s see what @Naamah has to say on the social implications of modest dress and behavior in high school. |

It goes in weird waves with the dress thing. Following my kids through school I saw some years where the prom dresses were pretty skanky to this years dresses that were fairly modest. Of course we live in a new digital age that continues to try and push the envelope for attention seekers.

I wouldn't know. Never attended one myself. View Quote I didn't get my diploma until they found it in their records and sent it home with my brother when he graduated 3 years later to give to me.
