Works for me. If it were not for guns and ammo I wouldn't have bothered going west. I wouldn't mind moving a little further east either. Further away from the coast the better. Further away from cities and people the better. I'm gonna be very agreeable as an old fart if I ever make it to that age.... |

It is common for fog in the breeze during the summer at the Oregon beach. The cool moist air off the ocean compresses when it hits land causing fog. As it pushes inland it heats and the fog goes away.
Some of the best days on the Oregon coast are not during the summer months but it is hit or miss with the rain. |

They have a pretty cool exhibit where you can walk through tubes in the tank and have sharks and other sea critters swimming above and below you (Kind'a cool). Also, you could hit the "Old Bay Front" there in Newport and see sea lions a lot closer up as they beg for food from the active fisheries there. You could also (On the old bay front) go to the "Ripley's Believe It Or Not" exhibit (Total rip-off but still kind'a fun) and "The Undersea Gardens" (This one is pretty hit or miss depending on what the water is like that day). If there's a lot of silt in the water you can't see crap but, once in awhile it's clear enough to justify the cost of admission. You might enjoy taking an hour to visit "Pirate's Plunder" too.
