Haha. People have NO idea what the green revolution was, and how without it most of the earth's population would starve to death.  They think technology is their cell phone. It is, but that's only a portion. In the 50s and 60s agriculture was revolutionized. Fertilizer, better growing crops. Go back to the 1940s technology wise without the Green revolution and most of the earth's population would starve.

subjectively many old folks may nostalgically say we were better off before all that crap.

objectively almost every possible metric of humans standard of living has improved due mostly to technology.

There is something to be said for the decline in healthy social activity and likely the average intelligence and mental well being of the common american and tech may be a confounding factor in that but it's really not that hard to put down the phone and do oldschool shit.

Yep .....now people can live 20-30-40 years longer than we could for 10's, if not 100's of thousands of years

We are also essentially immune to the system of checks and balances that used to keep our population at a level that could reasonably be sustained by the planets resources......

I don't think it was better or worse necessarily. I think it was just a smaller world and quieter. By smaller I mean we didn't have a 24/7/365 news cycle or influx of information we felt we needed to process. By quieter I mean we didn't see people screaming in video after video about whatever the outrage dujour is.

It was a much more insular world and I kind of miss it. But knowing what I would be sacrificing to go back to that...that's a tough call.

Dying from disease that is extremely simple to cure now aside, the world wasn't really a better place, people were still assholes, abusers, alcoholics and sociopaths, you were just far less likely to hear about it if it wasn't happening right to you. Things weren't exactly peaceful either as far as tension between nations goes.

The one thing that might have been better was how much bigger the world was, you could still kind of strike out and go be alone somewhere if you wanted.....but most people don't want that, even the ones that say they do.

1841 - A free Black New Yorker, Solomon Northup, was lured to Washington, D.C., drugged, kidnapped, and enslaved. He would tell his story in the powerful memoir "Twelve Years a Slave."

1842 - The British retreated from Kabul, Afghanistan and were massacred by Afghan troops.

1845 - The Irish potato famine, which would become known as the Great Famine, started with widespread failures of the potato crop.

1846 - Mexican troops ambushed and killed a patrol of U.S. soldiers. Reports of the incident inflamed tensions between the two nations.

No antibiotics? Electricity? Modern dentistry? The only food that was available was what could be grown locally and in season? Extremely limited access to education? Common injuries resulting in death or being permanently crippled?  Leading cause of death for women being childbirth?  Polio? Smallpox? Slavery?

Outhouses?  Having to go outside to shit in a hole in the ground (that occasionally has to be relocated) may sound romantic to you, but trust me, it sucks.  Throughout history, most people lived their lives, and died within walking distance of the place where they were born.

In 1836, the man widely considered the richest man in the world at the time, Nathan Rothschild, died from an abscessed tooth.

The only people who think life is better in 1972 than 2022 either didn't live in the 70s or had their best years playing football in high school.

It wasn't just microcomputers, the internet, and smartphones that improved our lives.  Just look at your average 1972 car (which would die by 1977) and tell me life isn't better today.

And there's many more improvements. The percentage of child labor and dangerous labor is drooping. Deaths from war has had a major decline.

And tech like cell phones has benefitted the 3rd world immensely, because it's allowed them to skip the costly infrastructure burden of stringing wire everywhere.

As to nutjobs and weirdos... much of that has always been with us, it's just exposed by technology and the Internet. Now everyone can be heard.

Pedos often used to just be quietly run out of town, because the stigma of talking about it, or even acknowledging it was so strong, that there wasn't any prosecution. Leaving them free to start all over again.

Mental institutions used to keep dangerous people from harming society, but on the flipside, many harmless people with cerebral palsy, Downs, and Autism were warehoused there as well, because they weren't accepted. And even people who had nothing wrong with them were institutionalized by vindictive families, or courts that wanted to "do something" about unconventional or unpopular people, but no laws were broken.

The polarization of America hasn't been this high since the Civil War, but on the upside, the monopoly of the MSM newspapers and TV networks has been broken. And they can no longer steer all Americans with a Leftist agenda hidden behind a facade of impartiality.

For every drag-queen story-time at the library freak-show  type of story we see, there's a dozen more enormous ways the world has improved that just get taken for granted.

technocracy. technocrats. world economic forum. the more tech and video cameras they get everywhere the more we can be properly enslaved. especially as we become hooked on it like crack such as online etc. read zbigniew brezinskys book technotronic era.

also another prominent globalist who wrote books i have around here somewhere is brave new world by aldous huxley. huxley was part of a group of zionist families but unlike brezinsky he rejected it outright and spilled alot of stuff in his book about what they plan to do to us.

ida auchen is a very vocal mouth piece for the wef and klaus shwab who is himself a mouth piece for the rothschilds and other zionist marxists. ida auchen is a cute gal picked and promoted by the new world order to teach us all how we will own nothing and be happy by year 2030.

basically everything in un agenda charter 2030 is what she pushes but no one can detail it like she does. google ida auchen i own nothing on youtube she will tell you everything you need to know about how to live in a closet sized room have no family or children or pets and die happy never having owned a single thing in a green sustainable society. thats where were headed.

The technology isn't the cause.  It's how it's used.  The internet is freaking wonderful.  Social media that is driven by likes and follows is a use of the internet that is a horrible, horrible thing.  Because it causes a culture of increasingly attention-seeking behavior, to the detriment of society.
