Just watched an update out of the UK on this subject.  Apparently Biden is against vaping.  Comilla is pro outlawing vaping completely.  Biden's proposed HHS Secretary and Surgeon General are also strongly against Vaping.  Apparently only his proposed head of the CDC is not openly anti-vape.  He basically said the "advocates" in the US that said vaping has a better chance under Biden were lying their ass off because they were Orange man bad and vaping is going to be fucked under a Biden Admin.

Great, Biden is against the 2nd Amendment, the Economy and fucking vaping as well.  I guess the only thing they are is pro crime.

I'm really thinking about it. At least 1 gallon. Lol. I have a little under 400ml of 100mg/ml nic on hand right now. All of it in the freezer (it's 100% PG, so it doesn't get thick).

My annoyance is it is almost completely about money.  Big tobacco is taking hits from sales, so they want vaping limited.  They make large political contributions so their will gets done.  Meanwhile in many states, the old cigarette settlement cases are still in effect.  Big tobacco owes those states money, but apparently those payments are tied to sales.  They really are taxes, but disguised as court settlements.  Cigarette sales are way down.  The latest crop of kids just did not get into them like those in the past.  It has crippled that source of tax revenue.  Even if the politician does not see contributions from the tobacco company coming in - the tax that is paying for their pork projects they give to other donors has dried up.  They see this as a win win - they get votes from prohibitionists and get more graft money to boot down the road as they push a generation of vaping kids into smoking...


I don't know if vapes were ever in front of the counter items, but I suspect the only reason they were not was ease of theft.  So they went from over the counter in many stores to only tobacco flavors over the counter for under 21.  So that is just annoying, but you could still get flavors you wanted at "tobacco" shops (hell I have not seen a real tobacco shop in many years - but I guess I could find a cigar shop that is close, but traditional pipes went out of flavor so long ago).  Plus you can still mail order at reasonable prices.  Next step is to outlaw online sales (firearms, ammo, gun parts, vape juice, vape equipment, etc...)  That will double the price of everything - plus make for some long ass drives for me.  Eventually they will make it even harder, perhaps by outlawing sales across state lines (wait, already did that with guns).  Then counties and local governments will create ridiculous laws (already done with guns and alcohol).  Why do the prohibitionist Karen's have to win in a fee country?

for the most part, I have not seen online prices skyrocket yet.  But will admit that with sales, online mod prices were usually 60-70% cheeper than local.  I got 3 mods black Friday for less than one local.   Online juice was usually less than 1/2 the price of local.

My one local vape shop closed down on Dec 2nd...

Apparently the provision buried deep in the so called COVID Relief bill is (purposely) written so vague it technically makes it illegal to use the US Postal Service to ship vape products and vendors have to keep copious records of who they sell to, to avoid criminal prosecution. So no start kits, mods, tanks or juice can be shipped USPS and vendors are closing up shop because of it.

Hmmm. Well that doesn't mean you can't make your own mods, tanks and elements from "parts" which can easily be shipped by other means (FedEx, UPS, DHL).

It's not hard to make vape juice. You can buy everything you need to do it on Amazon.com (I have). Also, there is no impact to ordering "parts" from outside the US from vendors that can't be prosecuted under US law.

Oh the recipe for vape juice you ask? Vegetable Glycol, Propylene Glycol (I do 80/20), distilled water, fruit extract flavorings and if you want it nicotine which you can also order online (not from Amazon).

Think of this being kind of like making your own off the books AR, casting your own bullets and making your own reloads but a heck of a lot cheaper.

FedEx and UPS, while not legally mandated to do so by the new regulations, will also stop shipping all vape products in the coming month or so. Purely a voluntary action on their part, unfortunately.

(Distilled water in vape juice? What purpose does that serve? Been making my own juice for years, and have never heard of that.)

One of the several online shops I have used sent out an email a day or two ago.  They are arranging for private carrier services.  I think they have 30 or so states covered so far.  Weaponizing the USPS against an industry that at most only harms it's users is pretty chicken shit.  God forbid if they were to say, make it illegal to ship cheep shit from China that was sold on Amazon through the USPS - but they give them highly contracted discounted rates instead.  Hummm, bet someone has relatives making millions from Amazon for those deals.
