I would say 75% of the 20-30ish aged guys I have had work for me did not have kids. |

We were visiting with a large baby food producer a couple of months back. They mentioned that they have baby food plants slowing down, reducing lines and even laying off. So, yeah, the baby bust is here.

No one in the developed world but the most absurdly wealthy and the utterly poor can afford to have kids anymore. Those absurdly wealthy ones seem to have a lot of kids. Usually while hypocritically preaching a message of a population bomb leading to Malthusian doom.
And if something isn't cost effective it must be cut out of your life like a cancerous tumor. Even if it's the thing you want most in the world. Even with all these immigrants streaming in it feels like the world is emptying out. I don't even want to know what it's like in a country like Japan. |

Years ago I ran a company that made big fans. We got a rep that focused on textile mills and diaper makers.
He surprised us even back then with the fact that adult diapers were a bigger market than kids diapers. |

There was a study that was on the news recently that the world’s population will start to significantly shrink starting in coming decades.i wish I could find it. It’s actually not from the tinfoil types either.

Most younger people can't afford to live on their own let alone afford to have kids. I work with a bunch of 20-30 year olds that make at least $80k and up and they're all in apartments because the housing market is too expensive for them where we're at. They're all holding off until they can afford a house before they have kids.
