Update on requesting fundraisers

Effective today our new fundraising coordinator is Wilson.
I've looked after it for quite a while and it's time for a change.
I have witnessed you folks do incredible things for complete strangers.
It's been an honor to be a small part of them.

Any fundraiser requests can be sent to [email protected] or via IM.
Also..thank you to everyone that tagged me in threads regarding potential fund raisers.
Please continue to do so except tag Wilson.

Thank you for your efforts, the wife and I were staggered and humbled by the generosity of this community. Words can not express our gratitude for the folks here, the Med. cruise and the time in Europe was the single greatest gift she had ever received. For those that didn't see the post in Team, she passed peacefully on May 7th. This place restored my faith in humanity during a dark time, I will be forever grateful.

It is stories like yours that make me wish I had kept track of all the times our membership has stepped up.
It would have made a great forum to remind us there are great people out there.

All the help and support/messages that I got after my wife died suddenly, and for years after that, is one example. I still appreciate every bit of it, 15 years after the fact.

That support helped me to keep things going for my son. He was 12 when she died; now he's 28, is a SysAdmin at an IT company, and will likely be married sometime next year. I wish Linda could see all of this, but I feel good about helping him, along with all of his own hard work to succeed even having lost his mom.
