The more common variations of WW2 and post-war DDR and Czech cartridges only fetch a few dollars each. A fascinating cartridge and weapon. Even after all these years they keep turning up. |

You could also just make your own from other brass, especially if they're "a few dollars each".  Making 8mm Kurz Sturmgewehr cases from Mauser K98 shells That guy's setup isn't optimal, a mini cut-off saw and jig is much faster. 7.92x57mm brass can be made from 30-06 brass, so it's likely you could also substitute it for the above. Maybe even 7.62x51mm, or others that are derived from either of those two as the original parent case. |
