Need to run software that I had running on Windows Xp Pro 64 bit about ten or twelve years ago and I just checked to see what are the max hardware specs since the original hardware was acting flaky the last time I used it so I want to run as new hardware as I can..
So....
"Supports up to 128 GB of RAM.[9]
Supports up to two physical CPUs (in separate physical sockets) and up to 64 logical processors (i.e. cores or threads on a single CPU). As such, As of 2014, the OS supports all commercially available multicore CPUs, including Intel Core series, or AMD FX series."
Two E5-2643 V1 four core cpu's with hyperthreading with max turbo of ~3.6 Ghz.....so 16 threads..... yep
128 GB of ram....yep
Nvidia GTX 960....yep.........its the last NVIDIA video card series with drivers for Windows Xp 64bit.
I ordered a Ender 3 3D printer I want to run the version of Solid Works that I have but does not not work on Windows 7 or newer versions of Windows so I have the hardware sitting unused so...... what the hell.
No it will not go online and yes I already have AutoDesk Fusion 360 but it's still new to me but I used solid Works a ton back in the day and I want to use both for now.
And yes I already tried SW in a VM and it worked ok but I did not really like the virtual graphics performance.
