If the doctors failed her then one could argue the government failed her by not having mental institutions. Then you can say the people failed her because we have not insisted that our tax dollars fund government run mental institutions. Or you can hold her accountable for her actions. That includes lying to psychiatrists. While there is some level of “if they fail, we’ve failed”, there is definitely a point where the failure is on the individual. We have strayed too far from individual responsibility. |

I seem to recall that there is some sort of national database for pharmacists to check if someone is "scrip shopping". There is. That's what I was told by a pharmacist that lived next door. Another user here said that was only for narcotics though... I dunno. But everything is electronic now. Pharmacists and doctors can see everything you're prescribed at any time. If you go to the hospital they can see it too |

Defense more or less stipulated to the killings. They wouldn't have done so if they, themselves, weren't absolutely convinced she did just that. Defense lawyers will argue over anything and everything, especially in a trial like this. Dude, if they are just going to say, yeah, she did it, but there are extenuating circumstances ... then, yeah, SHE was the one who killed the kids. |

Sure. The mental health care system is a joke and they likely mismanaged her and theres definitely a discussion to be had about that. However she killed her kids and left the husband behind to pick up all the pieces If a man with schizophrenia who has been failed by the mental Healthcare system went and r*ped multiple people, would the women currently protesting come out and in droves treating him like a victim and protest for mental Healthcare reform? Because I doubt it. Even though its pretty comparable to what they're doing with Lindsay. Its turned into some weird female solidarity thing. |

| If she was a man suffering from ptsd who planned the murder of his children by sending the mom out on errands that would give him time to strangle them, no one would give a shit and would want him to pay for what he did. No mercy for child killers, feed her into a wood chipper feet first and God can sort it out later. Anyone who murders a child should receive a death penalty upon conviction regardless of their sex or mental state. There is just no excusing it. |

And apparently, in the middle of killing her kids, she stopped and texted with hubby to get him to go to another stop to lengthen the time he'd be away. The thing for me is, I can't get the thought of the absolute terror that went through the minds of those innocent kids. Personally I don't think there is anything more innocent than a young child. I have an immediate and absolute rage against anyone who would willingly harm a young child in any way. I feel the same about anyone who would mistreat a pet. I get there are people with mental issues and instability, the brain is a very complex thing, but to me, it doesn't matter. As noted, she wasn't on the 30 or whatever count it is drugs all at once. They said she was on two at the time. She planned and killed those kids is a way that they suffered, it wasn't instant or quick. She is a monster that doesn't deserve to keep sucking oxygen. |

I haven't seen that they had. Rage, anger, self-harm, that's not psychosis. Killing your children? The oldest was 5 or 6. I can't imagine the horror they would have felt. People suffering from psychosis, a psychotic break from reality, the very few that I've been around, my question is, "Deep down, does he really know that this is all a lie, a coping mechanism?" That sits across a huge chasm from "not psychosis noted/observed." If she was in a psychotic state at the time of the murders, then she likely would not be culpable, or, “not guilty by reason of insanity” under the law. Glad I’m not on the jury to have to make that determination. Hope they reach the truth and the appropriate verdict. If I were aware of reality after committing such an atrocity, regardless of psychosis at the time of the act, I would probably consider it a tremendous mercy to be executed. What a horror this case is. |

From what I heard, she has a history of a bunch of meds over time, but she wasn't on all of them all at once. They said she was only using two at the time. The claim about the voice telling her to do it has been debunked by the experts. She only heard it that day and not since or prior. It's BS, an attempt to get the insanity deal. |

If it was me, theres no way I’d let her continue with the symptoms and doc hopping, getting prescriptions with no resolution or not monitoring her taking meds. Unless she wasn't acting all fucked up or crazy around hubby...oh, it's mild depression, post partum depression, nothing to worry about. Or maybe she wasn't really psycho at all. Yeah, there's a list of meds..but did she really take them all? They said in the news she had two in her system at the time. She didn't seem fucked up on the day of the deed either. She seemed like she had it together enough to plan it, and get hubby out of the house so she could do the deed. I don't by the suicide BS either. She jumped off the second story and all the wounds on her neck and wrists were superficial. She's probably sad that she broke her back and is paralyzed, probably wasn't really counting on getting that hurt. And the "voice" that told her to do it, seems the experts all testified it sounds like BS. She only heard it that day and not since (so she claimed), the docs said it doesn't work that way. Doing the deed doesn't make the voice go away if she was, in fact, as mentally ill as she claims. I know many say she needs to get the needle, but that would be an easy way out for her. She needs to sit in a prison cell the rest of her life and let her think about and remember what she did to those innocent little kids until she dies, or another inmate does the same to her. There are some offenders that I think need to be ended ASAP, and some that need to sit and stew in their own mind. |

She wanted just one kid and was overwhelmed and the crying with the hallucination of "Kill em.. Kill em all", if real, could have been ignored and she could have called 911 to keep her children safe from her until she got the hallucinations under control. Just like hypnosis, you won't do something you wouldn't ordinarily do, even if you have a perfect excuse. She should have been afraid of the instructions to kill and gone to a hospital for help after having a relative or even the hospital watch her kids to keep them safe. She's now paralyzed and has no kids, remove fertility and reduced sentence. Besides, it seems to me that All women have Bipolar Disorder, the definition should just be "Female". TL;DR She should have behaved the same way as she would if a stranger walked into her house and started telling her to do violence and kill herself. She instead engineered it so the bodies would be all pretty instead of found days later and mushy closed casket. |

This whole thing is a tragic dumpster fire. The more layers you peel off, the more you feel utterly crushed emotionally. 3 small children, systematically strangled to death, and one did put up a fervent fight, but ultimately was hunted down and overpowered. There is a timeline, that will take a Nancy Grace deep dive to flesh out. I have my theory, and it is utterly abject of any humanity. The statutes of limitations don't really expire for certain acts. But to strangle/choke a bitch out takes a certain level of commitment. To take it all the way, especially with a small person, your own child is a whole nother level of commitment. I have done some compliance moves outside of approved best practices and in a different life prior to any legally binding litigation. Even with a size factor. You are going to get WORKED. NOW do it repeatedly and claim the Devils made me do it, and so spectacularly fuck up your own "suicide attempt", bitch please. My opinion that nobody asked for, super evil, Casey Anthony, TEMU version 2.0. Oh, there was that little nugget that somehow escaped into the wild. All 3, face down from behind. I don't hold any degree in higher education, but somehow I can connect a dot or two out of thin air and come to a rational conclusion. Where in that mentality somehow someone even in a heinous act was so ashamed of their actions they couldn't even bare the thought of looking their vicim(s) in the eye as they extinguished their flame. If life was that troublesome, send dad to Baskins and Robbins with the kids and just dissappear. Nope, life today is all about the clicks. How tragic it must be to live an anonymous life as an example to strive to emulate, but be totally faceless. Rant off. Yeah I know I'll catch heat. Sometimes shit just need saying even if I'm not the kindest messenger... |

Avoids the algorithm censors. I dated a single mom with a very recently newborn once. She was severely unstable due to a slew of issues. I think she was borderline and had severe anxiety. Yes, I also believe that this horrific event is an indictment of BIG PHARMA and the Healthcare industry as a whole. Some individuals of which should be held to account. HOWEVER, if Lindsey Clancy was at the end of her rope, ALL she needed to do was drop the kids off at a fire station, an emergency room, a church, even a random neighbor or nearby 7-11 and tell people she was going to kill the children if they didn’t take them. THAT would have triggered an intervention that would have at least prevented the children from being strangled to death by their own mother, that day. She could have also locked the children in a bathroom, dialed 911 and THEN tried to kill herself. That would have been a more sympathetic alternative as well. She wasn’t some third world woman with no resources and no hope. She was a spoiled American brat, hoped-up on prescription drugs because life wasn’t everything she was told it would be. In an unimaginable way, something even more disturbing is the hundreds, maybe thousands of other American Brats who are shouting their support for her and sympathize with her actions. She IS guilty of murdering her own children in one of the most horrific ways imaginable. Those kids were looking into their mother’s eyes, suffocating, as she slowly throttled the life out of their helpless bodies. They is no question of her guilt. The ONLY question is of her LEGAL responsibility for her guilt. No verdict changes that. What should happen to her? IDK. She is a defective Human being, likely miswired from the factory. I wouldn’t care if she rotted in prison but I’m not sure that does any good. She can’t be rehabilitated. It’s not really a deterrent for other deranged people. Her punishment will be greater than any Court or prison can impose upon her. Lock her up in a psych-ward? Whatever. Either way, I don’t care what happens to her. Just keep her locked away from the rest of us for the rest of her pitiful life. Unfortunately, regardless of the outcome of this trial, it is VERY likely that one day she will be released back among us. |
Life is short. If you are waiting for “someday”, it’s here!
