Watch the closing arguments. The prosecution detailed how she wasn’t communicating to the doctors. She wasn’t taking the scripts as prescribed. showed premeditation by planning. The defense spent the whole time blaming the doctors. Didn’t deny that she even did it, really. According to him “she’s a good mom.”

That’s fucked. Oh they knew. You know any prescription in your name is in a national database right? That way you can't be prescribed the same thing from multiple "doctors" (Unless that only covers certain "medications" but im pretty sure it's all of them. At least that's what a pharmacist that lived next door to me said) |

At issue is going to be her understanding or right and wrong. That she, herself, was self destructive, that doesn't excuse [bar from criminal punishment] what was, arguably, uncontrollable behavior. A lot of people may have failed her, but she didn't just fail to take care of her children - she killed them. One by one, she killed them. Did any of the doctors/therapists note psychosis? I haven't seen that they had. Rage, anger, self-harm, that's not psychosis. Killing your children? The oldest was 5 or 6. I can't imagine the horror they would have felt. People suffering from psychosis, a psychotic break from reality, the very few that I've been around, my question is, "Deep down, does he really know that this is all a lie, a coping mechanism?" That sits across a huge chasm from "not psychosis noted/observed." |

How, exactly, would the husband be able to monitor? Follow her closely every second of every day? Especially if she is acting “normal” and sends him on an errand. She was going to sever different doctors and not mentioning that to those doctors - she could easily have hid some of those medications. Only real answer is to separate the kids from the mom - how would that have gone? Hell, the courts would have simply awarded her full custody - especially in Massachusetts. |

It feels like the cops just assumed she was guilty and went with that premise. The husband’s behavior seems suspicious. Quickly moving on with a girl friend? I’d be wrecked for years if my 3 little kids were murdered. There’s details about the case and her injuries that don’t make sense. |

The 60 to 90 minutes of his time prior to the emergency call and arrival of police seem pretty thoroughly accounted for. Seems the 911 recording has him asking where the kids are, and his wife telling him they are in the basement. This, this after he's out for 60-90 minutes running errands of picking up stuff at the drug store and bringing home dinner. |
