Trump did a good job on some stuff and a terrible job on other stuff
Ivanka and Jared Kushner were the two most destructive forces against Trump fulfilling the populist destiny the people wanted. Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell were next He did what he could but GOP presidents just don't have the power like the DNC can wield. Especially not after the consolidation and fortification they were able to achieve under 8 years of Obama. I think he really loved this country in a way that we haven't seen since Eisenhower or JFK. He wanted the people to succeed, not just the rich elite from the coasts. I'll miss Trump but he was never going to live up to his promises. For what he did in pulling the mask from the left, he deserves every accolade that can be bestowed upon him. We may be losing badly right now but I believe Trump's 4 years will be the pivot that eventually turns this country around.

I voted for Trump knowing he was at best, a populist centrist. I voted hoping he'd have a positive effect on Federal and Supreme court judges.
He let me down on bump stocks. He underestimated the swamp. The swamp is a living entity and it is NOT going to go quietly. It must be killed with fire. It remains to be seen whether we have the guts to do what must be done. I'm guessing that we don't. We will go quietly into the night, rather than roll the dice. That's the problem with law-abiding folks. Can't shake our faith in the system |

He did more on China than the last several presidents combined. He ended at least one long-term war. He set us up very well for future conflicts with diplomacy, alliances, and military decisions. He gave us the best economy we have ever had in my lifetime.
Trump was enormously effective. He just had to fight through the Swamp Uni-party to get anything done. |
