I noticed Money Talks with Charlie Sheen and Chris Tucker is up.  It's one of those dumb comedies that doesn't really stand out in memory, but if I'm bored and it's on I'm probably go to watch at least some of it.

Also, Heather Locklear.

I really liked Black 47.
Action flick in a very sad setting.
I was amazed how they added Jack Elam with CGI.  They did a far better job than with Carrie Fisher in the last Star Wars.

I'm half way through "Mile 22."  Enjoying it.  No SJW crap so far.  Dialog is fast but interesting; have to do some rewinding.  And it's good to see Lauren Cohan again:

"Cohan joked that by the end of shooting, she had become so proficient with firearms and combat drills, that when she returned to The Walking Dead, she had to unlearn everything she was taught to fit back in on the show."

(Maybe they could have taught Andrew "Rick" Lincoln how to hold a revolver." )

https://collider.com/lauren-cohan-interview-mile-22/

"Mark Wahlberg has said his latest action film character was partly inspired by former Donald Trump aide Steve Bannon."

https://www.irishnews.com/magazine/entertainment/2018/09/11/news/trump-aide-inspired-mark-wahlberg-s-character-in-mile-22-1430694/

Finished watching it.  Thought it was darned good.  Interesting writing, plot.

Can't decide what I think about Red Dot.

RT has it at 83%, and I've seen mixed reviews from audience members.

Knowing going in that it had a plot twist meant that I pretty much saw it coming from a mile away, although not exactly what it ended up being.

I'd give it a 2.5/5.

War Dogs is an ok flick. Todd Phillips rendition about civilian arms dealers Efraim Diveroli and David Packouz.

Bradley Cooper has a good cameo. is the movie great? no, but a fun watch, especially for gun lovers.

did I mention Ana de Armas???

What? Not enough explosions, sex, fighting, flashy car chases, vulgar language for you?

It is a sedate, enjoyable film about the human condition. Some people don't need IronRamboTransformerMan to be entertained.

After watching some other South Korean shows (mainly tv series, for example: Bring it on Ghost) the slapstick/kids humor that was present in some Space Sweepers scenes makes a bit more sense. Its just what they do (a cultural thing I guess) in some of their movies shows.

Tribes of Europa dropped today. Its a post apocalyptic series set in Europe (with subtitles).

watched the limited series 'behind her eyes'

kind of a weird love triangle story. a woman becomes involved with a married man who's unhappy, and that man's wife also befriends the woman. everyone has a mysterious past and nothing is as it seems.

then, some other shit happens and the series takes a left turn....

"I Care a Lot"

Starts off with a good premise and a decent build-up of tension, then completely shits the bed.

Wife & I finished "Your Honor" on Showtime, "A Discovery of Witches" S1 on Prime & Derry Girls S1 & S2 on Netflix .

We just started Cobra Kai and finished 8 episodes the 1st night.  I was never into the Karate Kid movies but this series is pretty good.  We only decided on it because of it being recommended in this thread.

Age of Samurai: Battle for Japan. Episode 1 was pretty good (informative). Although they say the katana was the greatest sword ever. I've never really known the story of daimyo, samurai, or really, any of Japan in 1467-1615.

S1 was pretty good.

S2 was an obvious downgrade, but still watchable.

S3 was easily the worst season.  I had to fastforward a lot of it (mostly Daniel stuff) just to make it though.

The episodes are all good-to-great for the historical perspective. And they only said the katana may be the greatest in the first episode. This was a nice exposure to the history of feudal Japan for me, although there was no coverage of life for peasant Japan, economic Japan, metal working, farming, food, transport, tentacles. Just killing and war.

They could have wrapped Cecil up in the first episode. I made it through half of that first episode and said this is not good filmmaking, and turned it off. No way I could have finished another 3 drawn out episodes.

same....HOWEVER, we were encouraged to watch this movie from a friend who told basically told us the premise, but when the dude starting seeing the kid in the woods, we looked at each other and figured we totally missed a part of the movie, as in NF fast forwarded etc....that twist was the only surprising thing about the movie

Yes it did, the opening act of how they removed that woman from her house and cleaned her out was VERY
relatable to me, it really upset me a lot, pure evil. I wanted there to be torture and real retribution but it was okay.
Like someone else here, I give it a C plus, opening set up was A level stuff but failed to deliver.

Finally got around to watching Wind River. Never clicked on it because I'm not much into "cop movies"

Wow. Well done. Moving, considering from what I understand it just scratches the surface of the misery on reservations. Believable characters.

A few faux pas about technical stuff but it plays into the drama well.
