We've seen plenty in the back yard, but never in the front...  That's pretty cool getting to watch them like that.
We enjoy watching them out back.

What are you putting out for them???

Late season in Illinois I hunted in single digit temps. It was brutal but actually I was colder one day in the mid season when it was about 18 with 30 mph wind driven sleet, I couldn't hang with it very long that day.

I don't know what the btu rating is on the little buddy but you don't have to burn both burners on the big buddy so it's probably about the same but with the option to warm that fucker up on the quick

ETA:  3800 btu vs 4000 btu, so almost exactly the same with the big on low

It got to -10 a couple day late last season where I hunt in VA.  I've never been hunting in that kind of weather before.  Usually the coldest it gets is 10-15.  I didn't use my tree stand those days.

It was 26 here this morning, I know that doesn't sound bad to other states but ....

The older I get my fingers & toes can't handle it, I mean like physically can't pull the trigger because my fingers are so cold. I guess its a circulation problem? ?

Yeah.  Once it get's near 30° I'm actually debating on whether I should wear my insulated coveralls or just go with some long underwear.

Sunday, I was out on the stand at 14° and it felt fine, but there was only a 3-6 mph wind.  It's the wind that always gets me when it gets cold.

The Sammich maker has warned me many times to quit stalking them .

Yeah, I don't think I could sit in the cold.  Lowest I have hunted is 6 degrees F, and we didn't see squat.  12-20 is normal for early morning hunting this late into the season here.  I have all next week to hunt, and love the cold weather, especially if we get snow.  Granted, I walk most of the time, ride 4-wheelers and truck hunt, so I'm pretty active for 90% of the hunts.

It's never too cold to sit in a stand. I've been out when the chill factor was low enough that you didn't dare have exposed skin. You just have to know how to dress for it. Hand warmers and toe warmers help.

It is the wind. Monday was in the 30s with a 10 to 20 mph wind and it was miserable.

Opening day Saturday was 16 degrees with virtually no wind and was completely comfortable.

Been out all day in an open air ground blind, got here about 5AM, it was only 22 at my camp.

Layer up.Thermals, insulated coveralls, insulated socks, no problem staying warm. A little nipply, but not bad since the wind laid last night.

Unfortunately, no shooter bucks today.

In the mid twenties today.   I sat in my ladder stand for a couple hours with the bow.   I saw a mink and a couple squirrels.

We had snow left from yesterday and it was crunchy loud.   Winds picked up around 4 and had the branches clattering like rattling antlers.

Lol, I hunted 22 years every season in Iowa in December.
No matter the weather.
Now where i'm at, it's 30° and I've passed on shooting two different does, out the living room window, because I don't want to go out and gut them.

Anything below freezing kills any desire I have to sit in the deer stand. I just wait for the next 60 degree day before I go back out again.

Last season when it was unusually cold and got down to -10 with a high temperature of 10, I watched a pack of does just walking back and forth in a circle between two ridges all afternoon.  I think they were just moving around just to keep from freezing to death.  Virginia deer aren't used to that kind of cold.
