I highly recommend all his Bible book studies. They can be long but they are worth it.

Saw this one awhile back. Unhappy topic, but good sermon.
We may be Judah and China may be our Babylon. Or, perhaps economic collapse and civil war is our destiny which will free up China to run wild in the indo-pacific, and Iran, Turkey, Russia in the ME, and Russia in Europe. Or, perhaps the end will come before that happens. Whatever happens, God is in control. On a happier note, my new church gives our FREE MacArthur study bibles to first time visitors. How awesome is that? @ImTheQuietOne Which one did you order? ESV, NASB, NKJV? Leathertouch, Leather, Premium goatskin? I have it in NKJV and NASB (1995). I've heard a guy named John Barnett and others claim that reading it with all it's notes is equivalent to 2 years in seminary. |

I don't know if the fall of America will be part of the beginning of the tribulation, or just another blip in history. But it DOES look like America is under judgement. |

I'm reading this book called The Benedict Option by Rod Dreher. I just started it, but it basically talks about during the fall of Rome some Christians would turned themselves into monks. They thought it was better to be cut off from society, to wall off themselves and to be sheltered from the utter depravity of their nation. They felt that the sin of the current society was so ingrained that it was too difficult to stay with Christ while being in the world.

I never had the looks or charm to woo one of the very few righteous young women from my garbage generation to start a family with so I have no heirs to worry about. I totally disagree with his interpretation of what "elect" means. Other than that, he's right about judgement of nations that turn away from God. The USA down the road is going to be just another Babylon.
