three amigos english complete movie

I got talking with a coworker about remakes of films and told him there was a "Father of the Bride" remake and said I didn't even enjoy the original(I wasn't aware that was also a remake ) and that "Three Amigos" was the better Steve Martin/Martin Short movie, he had never seen it so I went looking and found it on youtube, and watched it again tonight.

We had a VHS tape from my aunt who recorded it off HBO in the 80's, I have probably seen this movie dozens of times and I think it still holds up.

An absolute classic that I still quote to this day. I used the line we all have our own El guapo today in fact. Thanks for the link.

I love how both Lucky and Dusty both pretend to get the joke so as to not look dumb, and then continue to look for the little balls.

This also got a chuckle out of me last night, I was too young as a kid to get the joke.

I would say you have a plethora of guns.

Should I now kiss you on the veranda?

Maybe we’ll get lucky and they’ll remake it with 3 fat lesbians like Ghostbusters.

Great movie. Saw it while in Germany 1988.

Held up after all these years.

"Then they got on their horses, and rode all over the town chooting their pistolas in the air. Then they called us 'scum-sucking piiiiigs'  us!!!"

I'm saddened that most of these clips are terrible quality on YouTube.

That's actually the only scene in the movie I don't like. Not because it's not funny (it does make me laugh, I admit), but because up until this point the movie is quite believable, rooted in historic events such as the Mexican Revolution, the Silent Movie era, and the Germans colluding with the Mexicans prior to our entry into WW1. Then we get this single, random wacky scene with a singing bush and an invisible swordsman.

But I still love that movie.

I always liked the line Chevy Chase has in the small Mexican town. The people are bringing them food, and he asks "Do you have anything other than Mexican?"

Cracks me up every time.

At a man's funeral, the man's wife asks a longtime friend of her husband to say a word during the funeral.  The man agrees.  He walks up in front of the casket, looks over the group of friends and family, and says, "Plethora."  He then walks back and sits down.  The deceased's wife turns to him and says, "Thank you, that means a lot."
