Yes, there is a plot by the wealthy to control everything. As much negative we seem from the internet, it also allows people who want to know be informed.

They've never stopped wanting to be kings again.

Spent the last 300 years trying to get back what they lost.

The motives are the same, the methods will be entirely new.

Once they gain total control it'll take another 1000 years to break these new chains.

That likely will take place off planet.

yes blackrock and vanguard both "own" a lot of publicly traded securities.

There's plenty of other asset management firms that also control trillions of $ and they invest in same things Blackrock does. I'm not sure why BLK is suddenly being singled out as the boogeyman.

What they do is kind of the definition of capitalism in action.

This. They're some of the largest mutual fund companies in the world. Of course the "own" vast swaths of the market.

The less of your 401(k) money in their funds, the less control they have to make public companies woke as fuck with ESG and DEI.

Own the shares directly.

Not mutual funds. Not ETFS.

The fucking shares.

There arn't any. You have to roll over your 401k to a self-directed IRA when you leave your employer.

For your 401(k) money with your current employer, you're stuck with whatever funds they offer.

Before I retired my rinky dink company 401-k let me pick individual stocks. Initially it was Fidelity, swapped at some point to another administrator. Charge to buy/sell was 75 bucks, so I just went with the index option.

I can manually purchase stocks in my 401k.  There are some fees involved, so I don't do it and just hold the index funds.

The issue is not that some companies or some individuals have so much wealth.

The issue is that certain activists are using control of companies (whether thru their own / their own company's wealth, or by controlling shares of others they have custody of) to force all these hard left ideas on the rest of the world.

Like ESG and DEI.

Never heard of this company before but i guess they know well what is financial machine learning and how to profit from it.
It is very inspiring to hear stories like that and make the conclusion about your money making skills.
Will definitely reconsider some of my business processes.

I miss physically printed shares.
Fun fact, the shares you “own” are owned by your broker.
Even more fun facts; the shares your broker “owns” arent even owned by them. They’re owned/kept at the DTCC.

Every so often, they do an audit. Also unsurprisingly they figure out that there were more shares in circulation, than what actually existed for certain stocks.
Whoops.

So the stock market and the crypto market are two sides of the same coin. Just one has a publicly verifiable ledger for accounting, and the other uses jewish magic to pretend it works.
