And you wont change my mind. After working in the heat, coming inside to a big ol frosty cold glass of milk is the best ever. Soda just makes you thirsty, beer and tea taste like shit, water is for the poors and sports drinks just dont satisfy

The best thing after running a marathon in the heat is cold chocolate milk. Nothing else comes close.

An ICE COLD beer can really hit the spot. Actually, like 30 degrees or colder. A chilled glass out of the freezer, with a beer poured in straight out of the refrigerator. Ice cold water will suffice as well.

Anchorman milk was a bad choice |

I used to think so as a kid, but not in my adult years.
I prefer water on a hot day. Chocolate milk is a good treat but I bet I don't have a bottle of chocolate milk more than once a year. |

I like milk with breakfast.
Nothing hydrates like H2O but Gatorade can help replenish salts and sugars when you are seriously sweating. |

Milk is fucking disgusting. Unless it’s chocolate milk. If I’m going to be outside in the heat, I want ice water or a Gatorade type drink. If it’s just hot out, I want sweet tea
|
|
I like to mix chocolate milk with white milk like 2/3 white milk to 1/3 chocolate milk.

Nothing quenches thirst on a hot day like a Salty Dog. Salt the rim of a glass, ice, vodka and grapefruit juice. That is an awesome drink after doing yard work in the Georgia heat.

Actually, Gatorade is best for heat exhaustion. Sorry, I mean “commercial sports drink”. If not available, then coconut water (who the fuck drinks that?), then milk (gag on a hot day) and then water.
But if you’re just talking after changing the oil on a hot day, there’s a lot to be said about a beer. |

OP fail. Poll fail.
The best thing on a hot day is ice cold buttermilk. |

I fucking love milk....but no way I'm drinking it on a hot day after working outside. That's just asking to get sick...

Tall glass... ice, club soda, gin, squeeze of lemon, pinch of sugar. Nothing better after being outside on a warm day. I mowed, hoed, planted shrubs, and mulched today in upper 80's weather. Got inside and made three glasses of Tom Collins. Half a bottle of gin later I went to sleep. Woke up and reverse seared some steaks.

Sadly, I'm a bit lactose intolerant.
I didn't used to be. Growing up, I drank whole milk straight from the cow. LOVED. IT. When I moved out on my own and couldn't reliably get it anymore, the 4% "Whole Milk" tasted like water to me, so I said "Screw it, this shit is nasty, I'll just go without". Several years later, I finally had a glass of store bought whole milk, and an hour or two later, I was pouring water out of my ass. I still cook with it, cheese doesn't bother me even a little, sour cream and whole cream are GTG, and I can even enjoy a little cottage cheese without issue. But if I drink a tall glass of whole milk, I get a rumbly in my tumbly, and several quality sessions on the shitter. I still do it once in a great while, because I figure it's worth it. But I pay for it when I do, which is why I don't, for the most part. I think not drinking it (or even eating a bowl of cereal) for like 5 years somehow killed my tolerance for lactose. |
