As a career LEO I’m getting a kick out of these regular people In regular jobs that are suddenly deemed “essential” who are raising hell and pissed off about having to work, the way they’re “getting screwed” on their time and pay and how the management and government doesn’t appreciate what they’re doing

I see the other side of it. Makes you realize how many people are truly essential to society.
The complaining is amusing though. |

There are a lot of dipshits in the world. Hell there’s a lot of dipshits on this site.

Yeah my wife complained that all the open places are not essential. But what I have seen in Illinois they sre.
Like power line workers putting up a new pole in front of my work and fast food places. You need one to help the other. Here in Illinois bars and sit down restaurants are closed. But you can do take out all day long. Auto parts stores. It really is all connected. I sell industrial material handling parts. Next week I start a two week stint as home. 8 hours a day on the computer. |
|
Imagine being a 18-20 something - working fast food, while all your friends are home playing video games and getting unemployment.
I could seem them youngins being upset. |

Quoted: Here's a point you... Stay at home orders are unconstitutional. View Quote Your concern has been noted. The Supreme Court hasn't weighed in yet so it's your opinion only...and your opinion doesn't carry any weight unlike SC decisions. However, there is precedent already in past SC decisions and the SC has pretty consistently decided restrictions are constitutional as long as they are limited and for a specific reason. A reason like....you know....public health. Personally, I think the SC would rule stay at home orders acceptable as long as they are limited and for a specific reason but I don't know for certain. If you are that concerned about it, you should put your money where your concern is and file a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of them. When are you going to file the legal paperwork? |

I asked my staff who would rather be laid off and collect 120% as we need to tighten up and only one said they wanted to.
I now know who is non essential on staff. |

I have always had respect for the folks working jobs like LEO, EMS, and nursing, especially during Christmas, etc. It's work I could not do.
That said, I always thought nurses waved their flag a little too hard. But now, grocery clerks are "front line warriors" |

You should ask to have this thread moved to GD instead of a protected subforum, so people can speak freely about your point of view.
You know, the “regular people”. |
