Never really enjoyed that movie so I am not surprised.

I had to watch it about 6 times to really understand it.

Yea the hearts of darkness doc? Its really good. So crazy they pulled it all off. And Brando being obese is the topping on that shit sandwich.

That has to literally be one of the top 10 lamest movies ever to waste the film stock used to film that tripe.

I just watched the new Brad Pitt movie, "Ad Astra," and (except for the outer space set locations) the plot seemed to mirror the lame plot of "Apocalypse Now." Both had extremely lame "villains" with extremely lame endings.

I figured I was crazy for thinking that movie sucked.

Another one I catch flack for is The Godfather. I'm convinced Brando must have fucked my wife in a past life because I could sleep through half his movies and not miss a thing aside from his shit acting.

I never did like any Brando films either, except for maybe "One Eyed Jacks," because Karl Malden as the villain saved that movie. Brando sucked and always did.

Same. The older I got the more it made sense. When I was younger I liked the first half because that was more like a "vietnam movie" I was used to growing up. The second half got a bit more weird and cerebral, especially the extended cut.

I really like the Theatrical Release but the added stuff in Redux ruins the movie.

It does. They insist on screwing this film up.

Take the original and add the French plantation scene. It's the perfect movie.

Redux adds a second encounter with the Bunnies. It's stupid.

Redux and The Final Cut include Captain Willard stealing the surfboard. That's stupid.

The original, add French plantation, and it's perfect.

Lot of great lines in it and Robert Duvall is simply iconic.

The movie is a classic.

It’s a visually stunning movie.  In 72mm especially.
