Holy shit, what a nightmare
The Island of Dr Moreau - The Most Disastrous Movie Ever Made |

View Quote While horrible, the visuals in that movie are the stuff of nightmares! |

Unpopular opinion, but I can't stand to listen to the Critical Drinker for more than 5 minutes. Too bad, because his reviews are always on point

I saw a documentary on that shit-show once. The documentary was far more interesting than the movie itself ever could've been. I love the idea of a director being fired, destroying everything, disappearing into the jungle, only to return again as an extra to spy on production and create trouble. Apparently, many on the set were faithful to Stanley and enabled him to do so. Amazing...

Supposedly Val made his acting so bad in hopes the director would fire him.

That’s it. I know what I’m doing today.
Picking up a six pack and watching this movie from start to finish |

I haven't seen it since I was a teen but I remember liking it....

A movie with Marlon Brando today was a catastrophe? Who could've seen that coming?
Every director that had to deal with that overweight, overrated oaf probably has grounds for justifiable homicide. |

I don't think so. You might be thinking of Barbara Carrera in the 1977 version which was also crap, but then I never really "got" that story to begin with. Although obviously a far superior film, it's production was an absolute disaster that took 5 years to make. Pretty fascinating. |

I didn't realize Brando was still alive then. I thought he died in the 80s for some reason. I must have been thinking of Orson Welles.

Another gem from the Drinker:
Brie Larson Is Here To Save YouTube |

That was hilarious. I am sure Marlan ad libed that to the directors exasperation

I dont see how he ever worked again. Hours of him just talking to the director and fucking off on a tangent for a 3 minute scene. Throwing coconuts down on the crew in scenes he wasnt in. Drugs and Alcohol binges. |

I wonder if it is on Netflix?
That seems to be the same level of quality of most Netflix movies. |

I didn't know that that was the movie that Austin Powers and South Park spoofed.

The part where The Drinker mentions the crew having wild orgies in the jungle at night. I hope everyone was out of makeup and costumes for that... But somehow I doubt it. |

THE definition of a shit show. Now I know why Tropic Thunder was so good; based on a true story! I've always wanted to bang Fairuza Balk. Shes got a unique sexy look and that big purdy mouth. |

There are few as completely overrated as Brando. Why anyone put up with his bullshit, and continued to hire him knowing it was coming is beyond me. Shitty actor and total asshole

Quoted: I kinda want to see this now. Is it any good? View Quote I remember it being every bit as bad as the review. Even as a kid when I saw it the first time I went in hoping to see a horror movie and walking out thinking I had just watched an episode of the muppet show. Still, I think with enough beer I’m sure it will be a fun afternoon making fun of it. More so now that I have the backstory |

UHHHHHHHHHGGGGGGGHHH...FUCK OFF, Val Kilmer! Love how he never fails to take a shot at Brie Larson

I couldn't watch it due to the awful delivery of the narrator.
I know many Scots people and most speak with a rolling and mellifluous accent and employ beautiful diction. He speaks as though a wild haggis is raping him to death, gasping out words between his clenched teeth as it pauses to thrust ever deeper. |
