Looks like the other threads were archived and if there is something recent I missed it in a search. (damn '14er)
Season 5 episodes 1-3 are on Prime tonight, I guess the rest will be up tomorrow. |

Nice! I forgot that they were posting those today. Thanks OP!

Awesome, something to workout to tonight.
Or more likely, something to watch while I'm supposed to be working out. |

The NASA/SpaceX guys like it because there are nods to actual physics in the show .

I started watching this show just a few days ago and I'm already halfway through season 2. It's good sci-fi.

Are the books worth reading if I have watched the show and enjoyed it or does the series stick close enough to the source material that I won't gain much more from it?

A lot of ridiculous woke bullshit, some of which is bad enough to break immersion Really good special effects Casting ranges from pretty bad to pretty good. None of the main cast is much, except one whose pretty good |

The hardest part is getting people through the first half of Season One. It's several different stories being told that are seemingly unrelated, and it gets a little Game of Thrones-ish where you forget what was happening in one plot by the time you get back to it.
After they weave those plots and characters together, it REALLY takes off. I've powered a couple of friends through that bump and they became big fans. |

This is the 1st time I've seen it in 4K, watched the early seasons on sci-fi then kodi last. Never noticed how special the effects were until tonight. Will probably go back and watch s1-4 again now. |

I can't believe anybody claiming that this is marxist, Palestinian propaganda actually watches the show. I'm on episode two of the new season, and once again a solid 70% of the belters are total assholes. Just like all the previous seasons.
I've read the books so I know roughly what this season should include, and I think Bull (new character, Tycho Station ops manager) just summarized the new season, maybe the whole series. "You know what your problem is? You think just because somebody's the underdog they're the good guys." |

First three episodes are good, looking forward to the rest of the season.

View Quote I can’t speak to to series because I haven’t watched it, but the books are good. I’ve finished all 8 of them, and I’m waiting for the finale before starting the series. From what I gather, the series roughly covers a novel per season, so the novels are waiting for season 9 if they stick with that pattern. Just talking with people about the series, it seems like they toned down several aspects of the novels that would be impossible to translate to video without basically turning it into a CGI fest. |

Yeah, I can’t see the internal perspective on some of the characters translating to the screen at all. Amos is literally a sociopath that considers murdering various members of the crew at points in the novels. |
