@Miami_JBT

I honestly don't know too much about these and this IS NOT MY PISTOL but I found it neat.  It is cool to look at this and ponder the evolution of the concealable carry pistol.  Paris Theodore brought these to the market.

A pre-polymer framed attempt at a lighter, more compact pistol with a different sighting system.  The mags were skeletonized and the grips were made in a clear lexan so you can see how many rounds remain.

The slide was shortened, the factory sights 87'ed and a GutterSnipe sight installed

There's a Wikipedia page on the pistols

I owned one for a very short time before someone offered me a couple hundred more than I paid for it.  It was neat but I was a broke college kid; they weren't common, but it wasn't the only one I've seen.

ETA- this was back in the late '80s when it was only worth a couple hundred.  Guess I should have held onto it.  Oh well.

They're one of the coolest carry guns ever made IMO.

I remember seeing those in the pages of G&A many years ago and thinking they were the coolest thing ever!

Awesome for it’s day!

AWB cemented the market for these types.    There was always development, and this is a very cool example.   Thanks for sharing.

But when all of a sudden there was an arbitrary limit to max capacity, I noticed more and more guns designed around that max cap.   If you're limited to 10 rounds, may as well make the gun as small as possible to still hold 10 rounds instead of 12, or 17, or 20, or 8 etc.

I have the 39-2 and a 3914 and 3913.  The 3913 and 14 were the smaller concealable guns from SW and I was TOLD that it was in response to the ASP.  But they both have regular sights, but they are bobbed etc.  the only difference between the 13 and 14 were finishes

I played with one once when I worked a LGS. I wasn't impressed but this was back in the early 1990s. I don't recall what it sold for then.

ASP's are cool, as well as Devel's which were designed by a guy that got stiffed on his ASP order.
